Battery drains within 7 days despite only using the keypad once every two days. I have tried Duracell, Energizer, and other brand batteries.

This is a small version of their lifepod 2.0, and would be great now for traveling and keep my valuables locked up. Its TSA approved so going through the airport security is no problem. The carabiner attached is great to hang on my backpack or carryon.

The good: Design, cool factor. Will work as a dry box, a smartphone will fit there (but not much more). The bad: Hefty on the outside, tiny on the inside. Yes, it will take a couple of passports, but only without a protective jacket. A small wallet will not fit, not a subcompact handgun. Will you take the passport cover off, and the cards out of a wallet just to fit them in this box? A sophisticated electronic locking system takes a lot of precious space, and for what purpose? The box can be pried open with a screwdriver in a few seconds. As a travel safe it is a joke. The security cable can be cut or even ripped off from the retaining washer with one move. The ads show the box used on a boat (realistic, to protect something very small from splashes), and also as a decorative clanking accessory to a backpack of a rock climber (you will never see that in real life). No key bypass. A battery dies while you are on a boat, and your have to crack it open (unless you have a mini-usb cable and power supply at hand). Finally, the design is nice, it looks very attractive. Ironically, it is also a liability. It just says to the world: Look, how cute I am, I must have something very important inside, take me! Bottom line: This is a cool tiny dry box, pretending to be something more. Too small for even basic things, it is an expensive and bulky case for a phone, not much more. A simple key or mechanical code-operated box with more space inside will be much more practical. For outdoor/travel use I would like it to have outside brackets or straps to securely attach it to the boat/car/backpack, not a carabiner. Not worth the money.

I have several safes by this company and like a lot of things, safes are good for honest thieves. They may stop someone who doesn't want to take the time to get into it but everything can be cracked/opened with enough time and energy. Bought this anyway and it suits its purpose.
