Lovely pud
Great product, and it’s lasted for quite a few meals.

Simply the best
Without doubt the absolute best black pud in my opinion. No big lumps of fat like other brands can have. Lovely flavour and texture. What a Sunday fry-up was made for.

For me, too much grain
I guess I’m old school. My favourite black pudding I’ve had was visiting my grandmother in Enniskillen in the 80s. It had pieces of pork fat through it and had plenty of blood (sorry if that’s gross to some), with a memorable rich flavour and satisfying texture. This product is OK, but for me it’s like a consumer friendly black pudding that’s overly “safe” and “complicated”. It is well seasoned, but it’s also got plenty of ingredients that I don’t think belong in a classic black pudding. Food is often best when you keep it simple and traditional. Maybe this is traditional for this region of Scotland, but it’s too “busy” for my taste. ie “The pudding has been badly over egged” (no pun intended) To be fair though, I think if I was Scottish, I’d say something totally different because I would have grown up eating this...

Excellent and very tasty but crumbly when cooked
Very good and very tasty black pudding. Scottish black pudding is far superior to the English stodge from Bury, in my opinion. It tends to crumble when cooked. Expensive, though.

Delicious
First tried Stornoway black pudding years ago at a McDonald hotel and order it once or twice a year. I slice it up and put in the freezer to take out as needed.
