Won't create it's own start hole in 18ga sheet metal. The tip rounds into a ball point... A pilot hole is needed.

Mellewell #10 x 1-1/2" Pan Head Self Tapping Screw. They are stainless steel. The strip easy and break easily. Don't think it's a good value for the money. Seems to be cheaply made. The head will strip out.

They contain enough iron to be slightly magnetic. Time will tell if they rust.
