Easy install, instant on
I chose this fixture over a few others because installation seemed to be the easiest and was worth a few extra dollars. I assume the LED quality is otherwise similar.I replaced an undercabinet fluorescent fixture whose switch had failed. It was mounted flush against the wall and I knew the wiring entered in the middle of the back. This LED fixture has knock outs all over the place, including the center of the back which I knew I needed. It also has plenty of room for the wiring. Both features are apparently lacking in other similar fixtures. If you watch the user video for this product, you can see how everything looks/works. That user attached a pigtail before mounting, so he had a slightly easier time of it, but I still found it informative. To minimize the upside down work time I did the following:- Removed the plate to access the wires and wire nuts. You can leave this hanging open as the wiring to the switch keeps it from going far. The screws are tiny and a little delicate, but I had no problem removing them carefully without damage.- Remove the knockout that I needed.- Started the mounting screws in their holes. A nice feature is that you can screw in several threads before the screw comes out the top - so they will stay in place as you position the fixture, even upside down. The mounting screws are not heavy duty, but that probably made them easier to screw into the base of the cabinet, which I was able to do by hand. The fixture is very light so I don't think it's going anywhere. If you think you will want pilot holes, then you should set the fixture in place and mark/drill your pilot holes before starting the screws.- Next I held the fixture up to the installation location, fed the wires from the wall into the fixture via the knockout and held the fixture in place with one hand, while I manually screwed the mounting screws into the cabinet above. Take care not to strip them. It went well, but I was prepared to back up and drill pilot holes if it seemed I was going to strip the screw head before getting the screws well set.- With the fixture now mounted in position and the cover hanging open, I used the supplied wire nuts to connected the 3 wires from the wall to the fixture.- The wires from the wall were solid and therefore stiff, so it wasn't too hard to get the wires to stay more or less in place before fitting the cover back on. The cover slots into the back side of the fixture, so you can get the back in place and do some last minute stuffing of the wires before swinging the cover into position.- Holding the cover plate in position with one hand, I was able to start the screws to secure the cover with my fingers - they are long enough to get a couple of turns started and stay in place without a problem. Then I (carefully) tightened with a screwdriver. If need be, you could have a helper hold the cover in place (or even tape it in place) while using both hands for the screws.I took my time with this, but it didn't take long. I could probably do additional ones in a matter of minutes, being familiar with the fixtures and the process now.The light (daylight version) is a nice med-bright white - just right for us. Don't see the need for a dimmer. It's also instant-on which some of my other LED fixtures are not.Overall I'm very pleased. Time will tell about durability - I've been disappointed to have several expensive LED bulbs fail quickly - hoping the tech is better now.

Great replacement light with an upgrade
I purchased this under cabinet light as a replacement when an old fluorescent one in our kitchen finally died, presenting the opportunity to upgrade to LED and a slightly wider unit for better light distribution above our countertop. This light installed easily, with plenty of room inside for the wiring. The rocker switch for on/off is position on the back right side of the unit, and has a solid reassuring feel to it. However, I installed the light with a dimmer switch on the wall, so we use that for on/off. This light works well with the dimmer, with no flickering. It produces a nice light that is just the right amount of warmth for our taste, without being yellow. The light fixture itself has a relatively slim profile, and stays well-concealed under the cabinet even when viewed from a distance.

Very Nice & Bright LED Cabinet Lighting
This is a very nice under cabinet light. Very bright without being harsh on the eyes. Easy access to wiring and hardware inside the removable panel where the rocker switch is located. Wiring is not complicated with basic electrical skills. Mounting the light was slightly more difficult than I anticipated. The mounting screws included did not fit inside of the mounting holes provided, (screw heads were too large in diameter). I had to use smaller gauge screws with smaller screw heads. It was somewhat difficult to mount the lights under the cabinets. I couldn't see the screws inside the mounting holes while standing aside the base cabinet. Not a big problem but more time consuming. I would recommend lubricating the screw threads with soap or lotion when mounting to a wood cabinet. Pre-drilling pilot holes into the wood is essential. Once the screws are tightened, the lights are secured tightly to the wood cabinets, much tighter than lights with keyhole screw slots provided. The rocker switch is conveniently located and works quite well. Overall these are quality LED lights and highly recommended.

Exactly what we needed!
We purchased six these to replace the existing halogen under cabinet lighting that was in the house when we bought it. We went from lights using 560 watts and generating a lot of heat to using 72 watts and generating almost no heat. We had existing hard wiring and found that installing these was very easy. There were multiple cut outs that allowed us to mount the lighting were we needed it to go to accommodate the existing wiring. I love that there are different lighting modes. Would absolutely recommend!

Slim Form Factor with Functionality
I bough 5 of these in different lengths. They were an upgrade to a existing install. Overall, they were fairly easy. The only concern is where you need to place them and where the wiring is located. All of the electronics are located to the right of the fixture. So it could get tricky. All but one were manageable. The one I did have to plan out more carefully was doable, just had to think about it for a few minutes. The power had to come through the right end of the fixture, so things got tight. They look great when you do look at them, otherwise you don't see them. There is a high/low switch for brightness and the three level of color is really nice to adjust what color shade works best with the area they are lighting.

Nice and bright
I purchased an 12” and an 18”. Installed these lights and the area is very nice and bright now. When the other old lights stop working I’ll be ordering more of these as their replacements. My only complaint was that removing the housing on the 18” was almost impossible. Followed direction by removing the 2 indicated screws, but it wouldn’t budge. My husband and I had to remove the siding and base to then forcefully get the housing off. It was shocking how hard it was when the 12” housing came off very nicely after removing the screws without much effort at all.

Easy to install & works well.
The light was easy to install. Two pilot holes in the cabinet made the screws grab right away as they aren't the sharpest and my cabinets are hardwood. The screws thread into the plastic holes which can make the screws tighten before the housing is flush. I slightly enlarged the holes so the screws free spun in the housing. It tightened up flush very nicely. Wiring was easy. I chose to feed the wires through the back access plate and hook them up after mounting which worked well. I did have to strip some outer shielding off the feed wire as the hole in the panel is quite small. I added a star washer to the nut which doesn't tighten that well without one. The light is good quality and illuminates our sink area very nicely. Overall it is a nice simple light and it looks good. This is a great replacement for a flickering or buzzing fluorescent light.

High quality sturdy product but HORRIBLE instructions
I would have given this product a 5-star rating, because it is attractive, sturdy, well-made, very attractive and very bright with a nice daylight type of light. And the wiring and internal electrical fixture is very nice and good quality.BUT........the instruction which come with the product are HORRIBLE.Basic things are not explained, like:- how to take off the cover plate are not described properly (it is hinged on one side only, so if you try to pry it off on the wrong side, you will damage it),- the steps for wiring are not in chronologic order, and essentially you need a basic understanding of electrical connections to get the job done- the screws to attach the fixture to the ceiling do not go all the way through the hole and are very stiff and difficult to screw in, making attachment while holding it impossible. So you have to screw them in first without attaching it to "loosen up" the hole and prepare the attachment and THEN you can screw it into the cabinet or ceiling relatively easily. All of these things sound minor, but if the instructions were clear and correct, it would take under 30 minutes and with no frustration. That having been said, I am by far no electrician and I was able to install it in under an hour, but with a lot of "trial and error" for each step, which really should not have been necessary. So my recommendation is if you want a really nice-looking and very bright light for your kitchen, this is the one. But be prepared for some installation frustrations.
