A very useful piece of kit, I was experiencing problems restoring an old MacBook Pro using the Apple method to get out of date installer so gave in and bought this, up and running in no time.

This works perfectly. I was quoted £120 to install new OS operating system on my mac and 3 days to complete. It took me less than 30 mins to complete with this USB at a fraction of the cost. Amazing product. Thank you so much.

I had tried to resurrect an older Mac which had been wiped, and had been messing about trying to create my own bootable version of High Sierra, which I found extremely frustrating to do without another Mac to download from. I bit the bullet and bought this, and did the job perfectly in about half an hour. The instructions and video are pretty basic but the USB and software did exactly what I needed them to. Can't fault it.

I reformatted an old MacBook which in turn wiped the OS. After a lot of playing around unsuccessfully trying to reinstall the OS through the MacBook's own utility (there was an error connecting to the server - possibly due to age it longer existed) I found this. Lifesaver! Plugged it in, got recognised straight-away and installed with no problems. Wish I knew about this earlier, would've saved me hours in wasted time.

I read some negative reviews. I did a factory reset on my iMac and carefully followed the restore instructions by the prompts . Every time I came to the download same message ‘ unable to contact the Apple Server ‘ My network was ok. Purchased this and it did the job. Why not 5 stars then ? The instructions are not as precise as you need and don’t sequence as expected but instead I followed the on screen instructions and was back to a functional system.
