The quality is great. Tough very functionality. Balance is perfect for its size. Weight is good for its purpose. Money is on spot.

The design of the knife is excellent. It has thick blade stock and should hold up well for tough use. The extra long handle and weight help with easy of chopping. The edge right out of the box was quite sharp, paper cutting sharp but not hair shaving sharp. I stropped it on a green compounded leather belt and it is now hair shaving sharp. I will most likely not chop branches with it because I also carry a folding saw. Batoning should be just fine. This knife is great for camping and preparing food, cutting meat and chopping a whole chicken in half. It is also great for bush craft. An 2 inches section of the blade close to the handle is sharpened at a steeper angle for super sharp cutting purpose such as feathering a stick or anything require precision cutting. Most other machetes are made of thin flimsy sheet metal but this one is made of D2 steel and the blade is thick and strong. The sheath is a very good fit and of proper retention for holding the knife but also allows for easy withdrawal. I like plastic sheath over leather sheath for outdoor knife so I don't need to worry about whatever nature throws at you, rain, water, dirt and abuse. I highly recommend this knife.

I was impressed with how robust the blade is; it has a nice thickness and heft to it for chopping, and the grind is well done and very sharp. The sheath is sturdy and locks with the handle while also coming with a buttoned strap for the handle. The handle itself has a nice grip on it, I imagine it should be easy to maintain positive control even with sweaty/wet hands. The only issue I had is that the second grind angle near the handle is smaller than the width of my whetstones, so I'll have to find a narrower whetstone set or use another method to sharpen it.

Tough and well worth the money. Keeps an edge and chops through things I wouldn’t normally use a machete for. Great grip and easy to swing.

Note QUITE long enough to machete. But it will chop small stuff decently This thing is a BEAST. Its absurdly thick. The weird hand and a half handle didn't leave me anywhere to comfortably put my hand, but the handle is easily carved to fix that. The plastic could be a BIT more rubbery. Its good where its checkered but kinda slick where it's flat. I'm not crazy about the differential edge but that still probably even out with enough sharpening.
