Voddie’s secret sauce tutorial
If you’re ever marveled at how Voddie writes so many interesting and compelling sermons, this is the book for you. If you would just like a game plan for speaking about your faith, this is the book for you. It’s in my top ten list of favorite books.

Well said new apologetics book
By new I mean that the methods Voddie B. mentioned are at least new to me. Voddie Baucham does an excellent task at writing down what I would call a "new" approach to how to go about apologetics. Of course he mentions the obvious text of 1 Peter 3:15 and has a whole chapter devoted to it, so that in a very real sense is nothing new to Christian apologetic books. With that said, Voddie gives us a ton of methods from Catechisms to confessions of faith, to explaining the Christians attitude towards non-believers, to mentioning humility, and even showing us how to approach expository apologetics with a "hands on" mentality. In other words, Voddie suggests "Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty in the lives of lost people. Of course, for some of us, this might take some effort." (pg 168, Preaching and teaching like an expository apologist). He said that in the context of objections from friends and family, (pg 167). I can totally relate to this in my early saved days. Friends and family alike, I had to get my hands dirty when evangelizing with lost people. Voddie hits it right at home with me, when he said that. Especially with everything else he said in this book, about biblically relating to our interlocutors (a term he uses quite often). He shows us how to approach those we dialogue with scripture backing it up, and man does he humble us. (in a good way). Another highlight for me is that Voddie also takes us through the 10 commandments to show us its use in apologetics, for without the law how can we show the moral reality of Christianity to unbelievers?Voddie says on page 112 in relation to the 10 commandments and our apologetic usage of them: "First, remember, our goal is not to convince people to follow the Ten Commandments. We simply want to show them that (1) the ethical issues about which they are concerned matter to God; (2) because these issues matter to God, they also matter to us; and (3) God has given us a standard by which we may judge these issues - a standard that is outside of and superior to ourselves." He then goes on to mention on page 112 as well that we must rely on the Word of God (Bible), to which I agree. The ten commandments are also used broadly in the new testament and can help our objectors to our faith see the moral implications of God's law. But Voddie stresses the Gospel of Christ throughout his book, affirming that he also is not "ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek". (Romans 1:16)So Voddie does a good job at exalting God and the Gospel in this book. I would say much more, but my review should be short IMO. I would say this is a well balanced apologetic book, and deserves 5 stars in my judgement. I would recommend this to a fellow Christian, a new Christian even, and even family and friends who believe. Apologetics are for all Christians is a truth I think Voddie stressed as well in this book. peace.

Amazing Literature for Aspiring Apologists
Haven’t even finished the entire book yet but I place Voddie Baucham in the tier of great godly men alongside people such as R. C. Sproul, John Piper, Charles Spurgeon, and Billy Graham. He’s so in-tune with the Holy Spirit that his guidance (or the Holy Ghost’s guidance spoken through him rather) is riveting and holds a strong inspiration in my life with my journey of becoming a pastor myself. This book has elevated my perception on apologetics and to include the expository aspect was something I did but never realized. To be able to know what you believe and whimsically discuss it in everyday settings is a stronghold for my life as I aspire to be able to preach not only in front of crowds but in one-on-one conversations as well. If you’re wanting to better understand how to give a testimony of your faith and why your faith is secure, this book will help guide you tremendously. As always, it’s entirely by God’s mercy and will that we ever reach such a point but if you truly feel called by God to walk this path, this book is a must-have. 6/5 stars from me

Much needed.
I was one of those who wasn't quite sure I needed to - or even should - use Scripture to answer someone who doesn't believe Scripture to be absolute truth. I was wrong. All truth - the truth if science that proves life begins at birth, the truth of sociology that proves children with with one mom and one dad do better, the truth of psychology that proves the transgender movement is damaging to our children - all truth begins and ends with God, and God's Word is truth.

Excellent, Biblically based Apologetic
This book is written in a conversational tone and gives the lay Christian a great path to becoming more engaged in understanding God's word and in applying Biblical wisdom to life's great mysteries. The author starts by describing what apologetics is, and then, he provides many examples of famous apologists from history. The book is heavily provenanced with scriptural citations.I highly recommend this book whether you are a pastor looking to hone your skills or a lay person looking to become more conversant in Biblical truths.

Evangelism + Apologetics = Persuasive Evangelism
For the Christian who wants to get their head around how to communicate the Gospel in our day and age, this is an important book to read because it lays out precisely why apologetics and evangelism should (indeed can) never be separated. Fail to do both together and you end up doing neither.

Best book on presup for layman believers
If your a layman believer like me, this book is for you. Very simplistic and easy to understand and apply presuppositional apologetics. Also shows you how to love God with all of your mind.
