JACO TreadPro Tire Tread Depth Gauge, Dial Type (Reads in 1/32")

I own 5 vehicles and decided to purchaes this item to confirm what the mechanic may state as my tire tread condition. This item works well, is well built and feels good on your hands when using...not a cheap feel at all, which sometimes is important for tools. I went with JACO since I own a tire pressure gauge that has been a total workhorse , whihc I have owned for years. This JACO tire tread depth guag e is easy to use and the bright dial with color as measurements decrease was helpful. As soon as the item arrived I measured the tires on all 5 vehicles and it worked perfectly. I also had no issues with calibration. After eash measurement, I simply placed the gauge on a flat surface, or for speed and eas of use, just used my finger to level the plunger so it would read zero after each use. If this product is like my other JACO product, this will last for years and is another great automotive tool to have on hand.

This is easy and simple to use. It is adequate quality, though more plastic than I would like, but I'm old school. It isn't high precision in the label gradients but works very well for tires. It is small and compact and takes up very little room in the glove compartment. I have this for checking fleet truck tires, and it works perfectly for our needs.
