Bought on Black Friday, brilliant price for the amount of filters you get! Boxes were a little battered upon arrival, could have been packaged better. I’ve used these filters before and if they are anything like the last they will clean my water well. Decent speed for water flow and lasts the time it’s say.

Good filters and makes the water clear and get rid of the chemical taste of the water. Great value on the price too!

I'm in a categorised very hard water area and obviously being a tea lover, I need my drinking water to be great. This year I switched from Brita to the Phox Softener, hoping for a more eco-friendly choice with better softening than my old Brita cartridges. However, I found out that while it did a fantastic job softening, it also changed the pH of the water drastically, which is a dealbreaker for good tea. After some research, I landed on these MAXTRA PRO Limescale Expert cartridges as the best compromise I could find at a decent price. It still cleans and softens the water, but it doesn't overdo it to the point of messing with the pH. The result is a balanced, clean water that's perfect for most types of tea. A big plus is that they still fit perfectly in my 8-year-old Brita Marella jug, so no need to buy a new one, it still filters at a decent speed, though I can't help but want a newer jug to have it at the very best. It's the same old installation and usage, with directions on the package of the filters themselves. And the value is hard to beat, as I write this review, they're still on sale for £46 for a year's supply, which is a very good deal. My only problem now is despite boasting they're now recyclable and eco friendly etc...it's not until you get the filter and read on the fine prints that says "RECYCLE AT RECYCLING POINT, DON'T RECYCLE AT HOME". Which, lets be real, means "don't recycle" to the majority of us. I'm pretty miffed by that, as it feels like corporate greenwashing so they can claim an eco-friendly halo, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars.

Filters just as expected. Works well and lasts for the 4 weeks as stated. And yes, you immediately taste the freshness upon filtering it - especially if you haven't changed the filter as at when due.

We’ve always used this Brita Maxtra brand. It’s reliable and filters fairly well, however, sometimes it looses it’s filtering effect quickly. The twelve pack was good value for money.

Each one keeps my kettle clean for a month and my tea tastes and looks more appealing. Good price.
