Loved it. Very informative. The blend of current scientific info with history / storytelling made for an engaging read. I need to find more books like this!

The book was written by someone who looks at trees from a theoretical perspective. And that shows when Mr Lewis talks about olive trees. You have to leave surrounded by them to know and understand them. Perhaps the apple tree and the cork tree should have merited chapters on theis own. A collection of facts but poor in live knowledge. A book for americans. We southern europeans look at trees as family.

Every section brought a new and fascinating story an about an amazing tree. Such a fun and interesting book!
