Why did you pick this product vs others?:Was almost ready to toss my Dyson hairdryer but this filter gave it new life! Very reasonable price and a perfect fix.

Didn’t fit

The black cap have some figment issue. The entire thing rely on a plastic clip to hold together. But when I twist the cap into place, the clip would pop open. I can only twist the cap halfway to keep it from snapping.I would definitely shop for an alternative and return this one.

Our hair dryer is old enough the inner mesh filter became clogged to the point when I took it apart I couldn't complete clean it. Many of the tiny holes are fully blocked with crud and corrosion. Finding a replacement proved difficult, with shady looking listings that appear to be bogus.I took a chance with this one and it came exactly as described on the date they said it would.If you're looking for that rare inner mesh filter, this one checks that box.

Offering a split external filter to facilitate installation was a good objective. However, the small pins at the end of the filter are fragile and can easily break during installation. In addition to this, there isn't any marking on the outside of the filter where to align it when installing it. It's a lot of guesswork. Even after installing it, I'm not sure that it will remain in the correct spot without tape on the outside to keep it from rotating and slipping off. I think they need to take another look at their design and come up with an improved solution.

The filter broke on my Dyson hair dryer, and it didn’t even occur to me to get a replacement until I ran across this product. It fits that hairdryer well and is doing its job. Very pleased with this item. 🙂

Plastic hooks that attach outer cover pre stressed and would not work. Waste of money.
