AWHA Souwester, Rain Hat - Waterproof Cap with Wide Brim and Earflaps

Best rain hat I have had; Heavy rains in San Francisco so far and it does its job. Not only that it is very fashionable and I get compliments on it all the time. I also wear it on sunny days.. The yellow is vibrant and I wear black and it is a good alert for the traffic to see me walking on the street.

I was hesitant as always buying a hat without trying it on because I have a large cranium - 24" circumference/size 8 fitted. This hat fits and fits very well! Excellent quality in the material as well as the stitching. The shipping was fast and the hat is well with the price. The only thing that remains to be seen is wearing this in a rainstorm when there's high humidity. This hat is perfect for spring, fall and winter depending upon how cold it is. I may need to wear a bandana under it in the summer because my head sweats a lot and the hat is waterproof which means no air is going to get in. Regardless of that, it'll definitely keep the rain off your head and from running down the back of your neck. If the humidity is low, then it's a go! I highly recommend this hat!

Best clothing item I have purchased since moving to the Pacific Northwest. Easy to tuck into my bag. Lightweight, completely waterproof, soft warm lining, and I'm easy to spot in a downpour. Keeps all of me much drier.

I love this silly rain hat! It helps protect my hair and shoulders. I also don’t mind the big logo on the strap—makes it look stylish in my opinion. I also have a larger head, and this fit comfortably!

I have been looking at getting this hat for quite a while and when the opportunity presented itself, I took it and am very happy that I did. In terms of providing as good a review as possible, I will be listing the Pros & Cons but please note I am very happy with the hat and only dinged it 1 star for a 4 out of 5 stars rating due to the Cons... Pros: Yellow color improves visibility Completely Waterproof Extended Brim for complete neck rain protection Fleece Earflaps that can easily be tucked away The chin strap keeps the hat in place in stormy windy weather A very light hat that is easily foldable for easy portability in various items, like pockets, bags, and backpacks, or easily stored in cars, trucks, boats, etc. Cons: The front brim could be longer, as when the weather becomes stormy and extremely windy the brim is too short to cover when rain comes down at a slanted angle The fleece earflaps would be better if they incorporated an extended drop-down fleece back brim like some hats and golf caps have to provide additional warmth and wind protection to the back of the neck as well as it currently covers the ears A fluorescent Safetly Lime or Safety Orange colors would be more highly visible in bad weather and would be deeply appreciated to have as an option Overall this is a very good hat that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good storm hat.

This hat worked great! I took it to rainy Alaska and It kept my head warm and dry. I highly recommend this hat. It was a little large, but it has an adjustable chin strap. It was a great value for the price. The water ran off the material effortlessly and was a good quality. It was easy to put on and take off and it is very light weight.

This is now my favorite hat for rainy days. Even when out fishing in the rain all day long, my head is dry with this hat. This hat can be a little warm for hot climates like Florida, but it's great in cool or cold weather. It's serves me very well in Alaska where it rains a lot.

Think it looks ugly? You will change you mind when you are at a work place where you are outside part of the day. Has insulation on the inside. Works like it should.

Wirklich prima bei heftigem Regen. Durch ein leichtes Innenfutter bleibt der Kopf warm aber nicht zu warm. Der Kopf bleibt trocken. Da der Hut eine Schnur hat fliegt er bei Wind nicht vom Kopf. Hat Ohrlaschen hält also auch die Ohren warm. Hinten ist der Rand breiter, sodass das Regenwasser nicht in den Nacken läuft.

No puedo estar más contenta con él.Muy buena calidad, bastante amplia la visera de modo que para los que usamos gafas no se salpican siquiera y por detrás es más largo , se mete por dentro de la chaqueta y no te mojas lo más mínimo el pelo.. Este año por suerte está siendo mi prenda estrella
