Creative Sound BlasterX G6 7.1 HD Gaming DAC and External USB Sound Card - SB1770 (Renewed)

First, I was surprised how small the footprint of the item is. Small, but very good quality. Before I had to turn my PC volume up to 75 when using my gaming headphones because I was plugged into the on board sound. World of difference! Now I have my PC volume on 15 and sound is so much more immersive. Free software download has equalizer and type of sound being listened to. Love it!

Works flawlessly with my PS5 & Gaming PC I use it with my PS5 with an hdmi audio extractor to get optical audio which is great love the volume knob just love this little thing my first dac/amp and I couldn’t be more satisfied!

Works as intended. Took a little fine tuning to get the sound just right for whatever program I needed it for. The software is easy to use and thankfully has little help bubbles above certain settings to explain their function. I can't test how I sound with a mic as I have an USB mic.My only complaint is a loud pop when shutting down my computer. I just disconnect it before I shut it down.

Junk. Didn't last a year. Getting constant blue screens when booting. Unplug this sound card and system is fine. Plug it back in and computer crashes. I don't blame Amazon, but Creative won't do anything. Waste of money.

I ordered a refurbished one to replace a AE-7... well it didn't work out for a few reasons. I'm going over what it has why it didn't work and then the positives. It uses usb 2.0 which allows for 480mbps. That is generally good enough for most Music needs. The issue was the processor inside the G6, it is really good and sounds great but it doesn't have enough buffer space to compare to the AE-7. I got it for the fact that it has really good ratings for capturing and output. But when compared to the AE-7 I could only run a DAW with a intensive document at the lowest settings. Still impressive it ran at that without crackling tbh... If i was to just use it for listening and already had a sound card I'm sure this thing would be great. The I/O options were cool, never seen a 1/8 optical jack that doubles as analog audio I/O too! I think it would last longer if it had some heat escape holes since some people might listen to loud music all day and the overabundance of heat kills electronics. I was sad to return it because not having to use my PS5 control with a cord coming out of it was cool. The options to turn off the LED lights is cool too. Sound quality awesome. options awesome.

Just stopped working randomly after about 3-4 months of use. Had it connected to my pc and one day it just stopped working. (Would not show up as a device in windows). Spent about a week trying to find a fix then just gave up on it. Going forward about 10 months later i plugged it back in and it works fine? Still using the exact same cable. Its a great sound card when it works. I would have considered it worth the $90 if it had not stopped working.

G6 are like new product, work so well and sound so clear and powerfull

Easy to connect. Small physical size makes it easy to make space for it. Major upgrade to standard output. I'll be showing all my friends.
