A solid RJ performance
8,000,000 Stories is a good album, that's simple. However, there is something to be said about Blueprint's vocals. As always RJ's beats are spot on, faultless throughout the whole album (more or less).I have always been a fan of Blueprint, but it has to bes said that he doesn't really live up to RJ's beats on the whole. Some of rhymes are undeniably brilliant, but you get the impression that he doesn't quite have enough to keep it up for a whole album. However, the more you listen to it, somehow the more it doesnt matter. I would award this 5 stars easily, but the fact that it is hard to get into (mainly because some of Blueprint's awkward rhymes) is why Ive left it with a 4.All in all a very good album, but it just misses that something to make it what it could have been AMAZING!In future i think RJ would be better off with another emcee aswell as Blueprint, to give him something to bounce off.

rjd2 master of the soul
after loving the delicious beats of RJD2 on 'since we last we last spoke' and 'deadringer' i decided to give this album a try.It hasnt left my cd player since, the beats of RJD2 are so soulful and well arranged u cant help but love them, couple this with the emotional, confident rap of Blueprint this album cant fail. The album starts off on a relitivley fast pace and then starts to grow into a deep, soulful world of music n lyrics.Blueprint is a true rapper whose intertwining verses are true to life and not about girls and 40's. RJD2 pushes out the experimentation in this album and songs like 'right place, wrong time' and 'no excuse for love' take music to another level. In a sentence if you like real rap and 10star production then you wont go wrong with this album.

If only there were 6 stars...
Already a devoted fan of RJD2 and an admirer of Blueprint, I was disappointed when I read the reviews that some reviewers gave.Blueprint does indeed find it hard keeping speed with such an outstanding producer in some places, but the sweetness of the beats smooths these rare occasions into the bliss that is Soul Position. Blueprint is an oustanding MC, wicked rhymes. The whole album shines, particluar highlights including the sweetness of the intro, - the sick beats of Just THink, Run and the last 4 tracks. Inhale is another sick tune. This album is THE album for any underground fans - it takes the hip hop genre that is RJD2 in a whole other direction and onto a whole other level.I can't wait for the next.
