This was the perfect product for me. I bought a new smart TV with an optical Audio out port. I already had my old amplifier with 5 surround speakers fully installed. I wanted to watch movies on my new TV with full surround sound, but my amplifier only had RCA audio in port.This product was perfect. It took the optical out and converted it to analog RCA signal so that I could connect it to my amp.Worked brilliantly!! The quality is fantastic.Very happy with the product.

Easy to connectivity and performance nice, Cristal clear sound Quality but One bad thing I feel that device volume low it need to improve.Needs to be kept at full volume. Other wise device is very good

Sound quality and volume is more than enough while using direct contents of TV, there is a hissing sound at full volume while no music is played. Sound quality decreases while using additionally connected devices such as setup box, jio box. FYI I'm using it to connect croma 43 inch 4k TV to Sony 5.1 hometheater.Cons:-Hissing sound at full volume.Lack of dolby support.Pros:-Can be connected to USB port of TV as power cable.Good build quality.And definitely value for money.

I bought this adapter to connect the audio optical out port of my Samsung AU8000 TV to an my Sony audio system with RCA cable. When everything works, it does exactly what it is made for - delivers audio signal - good or bad is not relevant for me - the sound quality on my Sony audio is still awesome even after 9-10yrs. So 5 stars for value for money to the adapter when it works.So, why the negative review?4 -5 days after closing of return window, I noticed that sometimes, there is no sound in one of the speakers (usually the Left). Checked audio system, changed cables and all that. One of the RCA outputs in the adapter does not work occasionally. It is annoying to hear sound come from only one side and the subwoofer.WORKAROUND: Switch off and back on, touching the RCA cable (giving it a quick earthing) makes it work.Immediately reported the issue to Amazon support and asked them for a replacement (NOT RETURN or REFUND). I got a call back from them and was promised that even though the replacement window had lapsed (just 4-5 days), they would contact the seller on my behalf and would get back to me. More than a week has passed but I have not heard back from them. I am pretty sure they won't contact me.I have been hearing that Amazon return/replacement policies have become useless - may be due to misuse or whatever. I have first hand experience now. Unfortunate that the one thing that distinguished Amazon from the rest - post sales customer support - has come to this.Lesson learned - DO NOT BUY HIGH VALUE ITEMS ON AMAZON ANYMORE.

Pros -1. Pretty much self explanatory connections.2. Power could be taken from TV USB directly, works flawlessly for me.3 Cables / Device is of high quality, plug in/out is smooth.Cons -1. Slight loss of volume (LG 43" -> Very old Phillips 5.1)

Didn't work initially because I didn't follow the sequence in the instructions. Need to ensure all power if off to both connected devices before you turn it on! After doing as instructed, it worked perfectly! It seems analogue outputs are a thing of the past with new TV's. I'm sure it's a cost-savings measure but they ignore the fact so many good stereos are still out there and force people like me to take extraordinary measures. This gadget converts the optical output to analogue and lets you "plug-in" the RCA cable like we have done for so many years. I am very happy with it!

Connected to optical out on my TV, RCA inputs to my Stereo Amp, everything worked well, no perceivable noise was added. I cannot use my TV remote to control volume but my amp has it's own separate remote (I actually use a Harmony remote - off my phone) to control volume, this may pose a problem for those who do not have such a convenience.

Antes de decidirme por este producto, investigué otras marcas y casi todas coincidian en que algunas apps de mi smart tv iban a funcionar a través de este aparato, pero otras no. Me complace confirmar que todo funciona perfectamente! Incluidos Netflix, Amazon Prime, Plex, Youtube y todo lo que se reproduzca a través de la TV, incluso el PlayStation.Me decidí por la opción de Amazon Basics, ya que estoy familiarizado con la calidad de sus otros productos y no me han fallado. Este producto no ha sido la excepción.El único "pero" que le pongo (y este aplica con casi todos los dispositivos de su clase, sin importar la marca), es que no puedo controlar el volumen con el control de la tele, tengo que levantarme a ajustarlo directamente desde el amplificador, ya que hace años que extravié el control remoto, pero es solo un pequeño inconveniente. Fuera de ahí, es perfecto!

Premesso che è un convertitore stereo (L-R) e non multicanale, l'ho collegato al mio nuovo tv Philips 43PUS6754-12 che ha solo uscita audio ottica e ho potuto ottenere il suono dal mio vecchio impianto stereo analogico. Richiede una esigua alimentazione da fornire con collegamento USB da cavetto in dotazione. Per fortuna il televisore ha una presa USB da poter utilizzare e non ho collegato altri alimentatori. Introduce un minimo ritardo dovuto all'elaborazione intrinseca della conversione D/A quindi consiglio di azzerare il volume del TV e utilizzare esclusivamente la fonte audio esterna.
