These erasers work seemingly magically. They cleanly and completely remove virtually all pencil marks, but best of all, they don't destroy paper in any way. Amazing!

I love these erasers. I use them alone or as a fill for my pencils. They have become hard to find at local stores; but, thanks to Amazon I have a new supply.

The eraser itself is a good eraser. I do not use firm pressure when writing, so my lines aren't deep and bold. It can cleanly erase my normal writing, and gets most of it 95%+ if I really, intentionally dig in - you can definitely rewrite over it with no issue. My complaint with these is that there is an inconsistency with how securely the eraser is in the barrel. I have noticed that with the ones that easily push back into the barrel that if you push the eraser out the whole way and then retract it with the clip, it does get a better grip on the eraser. Otherwise, these are perfect. Even with the looser erasers, they still do their job. You really don't need to push hard to erase normal handwriting.
