Great nighttime cooling during hot summer
This mattress cooling pad is great! It uses evaporative cooling to create a nice cool pad on top of the mattress. I live in a hot climate during the summer and I have an illness that makes warm temperatures very uncomfortable. This pad has made it so I can sleep comfortably when the weather is hot. I had a small problem and customer service responded immediately and took care of it. Highly recommended.

It really does a great job cooling
Product works better than you would think. It cools wonderfully. I bought the cooling pad for my wife; she was complaining of being hot at night and having trouble sleeping. She is delighted with the way the cooler works, and the wonderful thing is, I am getting a better night's sleep because she is not tossing and turning anymore. Only reason it is not a 5 star is the lack of assembly instructions and a less-than-expected quality of the plastic construction. At this point, I would absolutely buy this again, in fact, I'm thinking of getting one for the dog too. I just hope it lasts the 5 year expectation.

0 instructions, Loud, NOT WORTH IT
1. Zero instructions. Luckily you only need to attach a hose to the pad and to the cooler, but there are a bunch of extra parts that I have no idea are for what.2. Loud as hell. Good luck sleeping with this cooler humming like an air fryer.3. You have to fill it on the counter so you can see the max water level. I followed the crappy picture diagram that showed you laying the pad on the bed, then attaching tubes, then filling with water. DO NOT DO THIS. You can easily miss the max fill line and overflow water everywhere. Put the cooler on the counter so you can see when to stop.4. No temp control. It’s either on or off. Stupid design, and for over $150 I expected more.SUMMARYSpend the money and spring for the far superior ChiliPad. This hunk of over priced junk will just piss you off.

Just get it -- it works!!
I have owned this cooling pad for 8 months and I LOVE it! I agree with all the pros and cons listed in other lengthy reviews so I won't reiterate them. But I absolutely sleep better on my memory foam mattress, and it even keeps my head cool through my pillow. I love that now I can snuggle under multiple blankets because this is still keeping me comfortable. Also the company has amazing customer service. My pad started leaking after about 6 months, but they responded to my text instantly and shipped me a new one right away. For the week that I was without it, I was reminded what it was like to sleep hot in the before days--seriously I can't sleep on a hot mattress without it. Just get it!!

UPDATE Leaking and MOLDY
UPDATE 12/19: the company supplied me with a new unit following my review and so far, so good. I have placed plastic below and on top of the pad as a just in case since the last one had mold. I looked everywhere on the last with it running and couldn’t find a leak on the pad so I’m not sure where the moisture came from.To be honest, I can’t sleep without this thing bc I’m so hot and sweaty and it makes a HUGE difference, which is why I wanted to give another shot. Also, to add, the new unit came with a plastic bin to set it in on the bedside table which is a plus. I also added a sheet of carbon filter to the back like someone else suggested bc I, too, had noted some dust particles and icky in the water at times. So far so good. Will update again in a few months. Giving another star back for customer service and will update again in a few months if this one does not have the same problems as the lastI have used this for about 5 months now. I am a hot and sweaty sleeper so I was looking for something to cool my bed and found this. I have noticed some water at the back of the unit a couple of times (I kept it in a plastic bin on the bedside table in case of leaks) but chopped it up to me spilling a little when I was filling it.Tonight, I go to check to see if it needs water and it is sitting in 2 inches of water in the plastic bin. I know I did not spill it last night as I checked to make sure it was to the fill line and there was no water before I turned it on and went to sleep. I wanted to take it to the bathroom to check it out and pulled back my mattress topper to pull the pad out and found mold ALL OVER THE PAD AND MY MATTRESS.I would NOT recommend getting this and if you already have it, best to check the unit thoroughly 😞

Continued Use/Customer Support
This product has become a near-necessity in my life. I sleep hot very frequently, and I have found I sleep much better with it running. It gets very cool very fast, and stays cool all night long as long as it has been filled. I haven’t had any issues with leakage over my time of using it, it has a noise while running, but after about a week or so, it’s like a white noise machine and doesn’t bother me anymore, and the main bits of the machine are very durable. The one bit of advice I have is to use the recommended water in the instructions. If you don’t, slimy residue will build up over time, and lessen the cooling affect over time. It’s not the end of the world though, as I have cleaned it out by running some 1/1 vinegar water ratio through the lines, letting it sit for an hour, and then dumping it with the attached water release stub thing on the bottom.I did have to use customer support and it was fast. Like freaky fast. As in I talked to someone and within 10 minutes (this was over their text support line, https://neataquapad.com/contact-us/), I got a new main unit sent to my house. The main unit had to be replaced because of a faulty USB C port being worn over time, not because of a fan, pump, or other issues you might think it would be.Overall, I would buy this again in a heart beat. The deal is better than most other products I’ve seen, the cooling affect is really good, it’s reliable, and while filling this machine every 1 to 2 days is a bit annoying, it doesn’t take too much water (1-2 water bottles) to get it back to full. It takes like 3-4 water bottles from complete empty to fill it up.Anyways, thanks for reading my Ted talk about this product, have a good day.
