What a ridiculous way to mount the pad. Unless you want to unscrew the 4 grub screws every time you put it up or take it down, you're left with the large ball attachment sticking out. This makes finding a secure case a lot more challenging and really needs changing.

They are solid, well-engineered and very good. A little steep for the price of the product and it is a shame the boom doesn't reach longer. The ball joint doesn't accommodate a large range of angles so you have to be quite precise with your placement.

Expensive piece of kit for what it does. The clamp itself it's small, seller claims it "fits stands of any size" but truly anything thicker than 3 cm would be too much. It would probably fit the top tube of a cymbal stand but if you have an e-drum it won't fit the drum rack which is around 4 cm diameter. The ball+socket joint and the plate are made of PLASTIC and because of the shape of the socket you can't get a good range of setting combinations hence if the arm is positioned to an angle >45 the multipad won't be straight. Ridiculously priced, will return and buy a full stand with plate for half of the price on "dv247 Music Store". How can Alesis make such a fine piece of tech for a competitive price and pair it with such a crappy stand?

Box states the clamp will fit any stand. This is not the case as the clamp is to small and does not fit onto the roland td17 kvx rack tubing. I have just about managed to fit it to one of the roland tom L brackets. I still had to wrap strips of rubber around the L bracket to stop the clamp from slipping.

It doesn’t seem to enable my sample pad 4 to work with my kit as suggested. I have had to contact Alesis to see what’s going wrong
