Doesn’t do what I need it to do - cure
Bought this to replace my lamp that died after 3 years of service, and after two uses I’m away to replace it.What’s good about it:- it looks prettyMinor issues:- power cord is shorter than other lamps I’ve used so I’m restricted on placement- lamp is bulky without giving whole lot of extra space inside in return- hand detection is patchy at best- doesn’t ‘remember’ a setting so even when it recognises a hand inside, it doesn’t cut off and just keeps going and you just need to remember to look at the timer every now and then- no reflective baseBut my main issue is that it just does not cure poly gel properly. I have to do at least two 60s cures with palm facing down AND two 60s cures with palm facing up just to get a base cure on poly gel (I say a base cure as the gel is relatively hard overall and stays on but is still sticky and soft in places and only cures to a decent quality during polish curing), and gel polish takes two rounds to cure as well, regardless of colour. My previous lamp would complete the job in one 60s cure (and it didn’t have a reflective base either, but the underside of my nails was still fully cured).I would put it down to a wavelength issue if it were just one brand of poly gel/polish, but in the two uses I’ve tried five brands (one for base&poly gel, one for top coat, three for polish) with all of them taking an equally long time. And I’m not 100% confident that even after several sets of cures the gel is fully cured so I’m away to take off the several hours of work and re-do with a different lamp as allergy through exposure isn’t something I’m willing to play around with.Overall, I regret the purchase.
