This food gained remission for my IBD kitty
One of my beloved boys, Ziggy, unfortunately has IBD, an autoimmune disorder affecting the digestive system, very similar to Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis in humans (I personally have Crohns so have an intimate understanding of his symptoms). He was vomiting on a near daily basis, which progressed to loose stools, his coat became dull and dry, he had no energy and meowed near silently from vomiting so much, some days he was in so much pain that he refused to move or to eat, which was a huge red flag for Ziggy as he will eat anything and is very sneaky and coniving when trying to steal food (which at times borders on the comical, but I never allow or have allowed him to eat people food, he’s a cat who have different nutritional needs from people and some people food can be very harmful to a cat). When he was diagnosed the vet wanted him to try oral steroids (the same that a human takes to treat Crohns) as he felt Ziggy’s condition was becoming severe. I have been on this medication and it was so horrible and caused so much damage (my dr was concerned as I was bordering on Diabetes when I was on it), that I felt it was too early to try that, I’ve had great success at balancing my condition using diet alone since stopping steroids, I felt it would be worth trying this first before resorting to such drastic and frankly dangerous treatment (I would have agreed if the vet felt his condition was life threatening though), I knew that at some point, whether right away or after steroid treatment, I would have to seriously adjust Ziggy’s diet to maintain any remission he may gain. I tried so many different foods; grain free, high protien etc and found that the vast majority of readily available cat foods were full of junk, in my opinion they are the equivalent of fast food for nutrients and I can’t understand how they can call it food, full of bulking foods that cats really shouldn’t eat and aren’t built to process, with only 4% actual meat meaning that 96% is junk only there to make you and your cat feel like they are getting a full meal. There are foods which are bordering on half decent, with slightly higher meat content but no grains, instead they’re full of ‘meat derivitives’ god knows what that even means?! Then there are those which are great with high meat content, no grains and fillers, but still have those mysterious meat derivitives, though I feel these are perfectly respectful to feed to your cat. All of these made my boy sick, though with each upgrade in food quality he showed levels of improvement, so I knew I was on the right track. Then I found Thrive and everything changed, it wasn’t immediate, but the improvements came quicker than with the other foods. His vomiting went from frequent to maybe once a week, then to only when he had to eliminate a hair ball and he would be sick for a few days after, to now 6 months on, no vomiting at all. I am so happy with the change in him, it’s phenomenal, his skin is no longer flaky, his coat is soft and shiny, his tummy is no longer swollen, he can meow with sound again (and boy does he let me know, he’s a regular chatterbox again), he has so much energy that he runs around like a kitten again, he’s engaging in play with his toys and with his brother which he hasn’t been able to do for so long. I’m overjoyed in his improvement, it gives me no end of happiness to see him no longer in pain and suffering, and I’m so happy that I was able to help him naturally without needing to resort to harsh medicines (alough I reiterate, I would not hesitate to use if diet hadn’t worked). Ziggy’s improvement is a testement to the quality of Thrive cat food, clearly it is the best on the market as it was the only food that helped and is still helping today. Thank you Thrive for caring about the welfare of cats and working to ensure that cats get the nutrition that they need instead of feeding them junk to make your money, your food is worth every penny for me and my boys. I would not hesitate to reccommend this food to any cat guardian, whether you just want the best for your family member or whether you are trying to fight a medical condition.

A great complete food for your cat - especially for those suffering FIC. Fantastic quality, glossy coats, and happy kitties!
I started buying tins of Thrive when my male cat was diagnosed as having FIC (Feline Interstitial Cystitis). He used to love eating kibble, and the vet said that he needed to eat wet food to ensure he was getting enough water in his diet. I tried everything - the usual High Street brands and supermarket own, and the only wet food he liked was Encore, which unfortunately isn't complete so shouldn't be used on a daily basis as the only food source. In the end I came across Thrive, which was similar in consistency to the Encore, but was complete. My very fussy male cat actually liked it, thank goodness! I tried the Chicken, Ocean Fish, and Tuna and Salmon, and the plain Tuna Fillet is most definitely his favourite. His late sister was keen on all of them, however Wilbur is so fussy, and he only really likes fish. The Tuna Fillet looks (and smells) like you could eat it as human food, like tuna in a little bit of broth. The tins may look small if you're used to the traditional sizes, however when I had two cats half a tin each, whilst seeming to be a small portion, was fine. Thrive kept my two fuller for longer, so they went from being fed morning, evening and before bed to just morning and evening. The cheaper cat food filled them up but didn't keep them full like Thrive does. After being fed with Thrive, my cats' coats got really glossy and healthy looking so quickly, and I thought they'd looked fine before! I didn't realise just how soft and shiny a cat can get on a high quality diet. As indoor cats, I also must add that the litter trays didn't smell half as much, which was a pleasant side effect! It might look pricey but you need less of it, and Subscribe & Save means you'll get a discount and a regular supply. Wilbur may be fussy but he loves the Tuna Fillet flavour, and it certainly helps with his FIC. Highly recommend this product, it's such good quality.

Excellent Quality Cat Food
Great alternative flavour when my cats usual flavour was out of stock. He doesn't tolerate poultry but knowing thrives food are all complete and balanced in a variety of flavours is great. Thrive is very high quality and minimally processed so a great diet to feed.

My cat loves it but it's so wet, it is basically a smoothie.
I generally feed dry food to my cat to prevent tooth decay following my vet's advice as cats don't have ways to clean their teeth as dogs do (chew toys), but in the morning and in the evening I do give her a tea spoon food of high quality wet food as a treat. I generally buy Wainwright's Wet Cat Food as she loves it, but due to lockdown I decided to order something else from Amazon. As I couldn't get my usual brand, after a fair amount of research, I decided to try Thrive Cat Food, as the ingredients were of high quality and the price seemed competitive. That said, once I received them and opened the first tin, I noticed that the food is so wet that is basically a smoothie. Wainwright's is compact fish I can scoop up with a spoon and the rest of the food in the tin doesn't move and 1 tin lasts me 2 days, but this brand is so liquid that I can only use it for 1 day at most. I mean, if you shake the tin you can hear water moving. That said, my cat loves it so much that the bowl is so clean after she has finished eating that it seems I washed it, so it must be really tasty! And the scent is good too. So, in my opinion, if you give a full tin of food to your cat as main meal, you can be pleased with this brand, but personally after my cat finishes these tins I will go back to my usual cat food as I find it cheaper for the actual amount of meat you get. I hope this helps.

Emballages solides.
