I needed a new latch for my Little Free Library (the one that came with it was just a piece of wood that rotates), and I was struggling finding one that would upgrade the LFL's appearance while being affordable. This did the trick. It works as promised, feels like it will be durable, and definitely looks better than the previous latch, as well as matching the existing hardware. No trouble with installation -- you just screw each piece in with included matching screws.One thing to be aware of is that "self-closing" here doesn't mean it will automatically close itself -- you still have to push it. You just don't have to operate the latch to close it -- if you push the door shut, the latch will catch. It's very easy. To open it, you just pull the loop to the side.
