Quick and Easy! Bar Chords RULE!
I've been playing guitar many years and I bought 3 of these little books for my students. Some of my chord books are big thick monsters. This little guy is easy and quick to understand! If you know how to play E, A, Em, Am you can play up and down the neck without having to memories a bunch of open chords. I can play a LOT o music using these bar chords. GBYD

Handy little reference book
Handy little to have in your guitar case. Especially when you're a beginner like me and someone says like "The chord progression is C, ok, G, yah, D, eezy peezy, and A7sus2, What, in the second position, twice removed. Hey what do I know. I'm a beginner who likes having a good physical reference book for my declining memory. Good book.

Not the magazine version.
I purchased the "Guitar Chord Dictionary" by Morton Manus, after seeing one of my fellow student's copy in the first class. It arrived promptly as promised, however instead of it being the magazine version it was the 4 1/2" x 12" smaller "pocket guide" size. Unfortunately, the smaller size version does NOT provide the photographs of the 7 major chords as the magazine version does...my primary reason for buying it. There are pictures of more advanced chords but I wanted the basics. Amazon, as always, was very accommodating and refunded my money. But beware that there are few actual pictures of fingers on the frets in this edition. I am still looking for the magazine version. Thanks.

Ease of use
One of my friends recommended this book to me as I've just begun learning how to play. She loved it and said it would be an easy book to use. She was absolutely correct. I like that the pictures of chords are large and easy to read. That's been a big help to someone just picking up a guitar for the first time.

All the chords you need when starting out, plus fingerboard chart on the back, and chord accompaniment chart which helps to train your ear.

I bought this on recommendation from my guitar tutor. It gives an overview of guitar parts, note values, guidance on tuning, lists many chords and moveable barre chords with a handy fretboard chart on the back and is a handy format for keeping in a gig bag. There is a very good section on identifying chords in keys. It is in an easy reference style so you can quickly find what you are looking for. A very useful book indeed.

This is an excellent little chord book. If you know all the chords in this book you will be all set. Nice and easy to fit in your guitar case or gig bag. This is the second one I have purchased as I wore out the original. I happened to see it on Amazon and decided to get myself a new one as the original one was beat, falling apart. Really a handy chord book.
