Picture It
Picture it. 2024. You’re at your favorite New Orleans neighborhood restaurant. You’re seated, comfy, and the table setting looks nice. The food smells delicious. Life is good. {-: I’m from Louisiana, and Laurentide reminds me of flatware you’d find in an established restaurant. Beautiful, worn, and used by hundreds of restaurant patrons visiting weekly. This flatware set is unique. The stone finish gives it a vintage look. Reminds me of my grandparents’ flatware. Casual yet elegant. Just right. My grandparents lived in the country, and my grandmother always set a beautiful table. Laurentide is just what I wanted. A keeper, for sure. High quality. Sturdy. Grabs your attention. I’m sure it will last a very long time. I can feel it. Literally, when it’s in my hand. Laurentide is not 18/0 or 18/10. Just good ole stainless steel. Solid. About 50% heavier than what you’d find in stores today. I had friends over for dinner last night and used Laurentide for the first time. One of my guests said, “Nice spoon!” (I served Shrimp Creole over rice.) Thank you Martha Stewart!

Perfect fit for me!
I've been perusing flatware forever and finally spied this interesting looking set, and I'm so glad I did. I was looking for something that would match, or not match (in a really good way), my eclectic side and these really have the versatility to fit right in with my style and modest budget. The stone finish is done with a naturally aged finesse. I love the unique lines and character of each piece. They are beautifully designed and crafted, which I would expect from Martha Stewart. The bonus for me too is that they are substantial in the hand, but not so much as to be cumbersome; a feature I also appreciate in good knives. I'm looking forward to buying another set soon.

Weighty but not cumbersome.
These utensils have a weight to them but aren't cumbersome to handle with one hand. The texture is beautiful paired with the handle design. So far they have held up I the dishwasher as well. I would say to wipe the handle thoroughly before first use. Manufacturers dust has settled in the intricate design on the handles. I would say this was very much worth the price.

Inconsistent Finish
The set is very nice, but the finish on three of the forks is different than the rest of the set- darker and more matte
