Q: Most shea butters are hard as a rock. What is the texture of this product? Is it creamy?

It has a creamy texture vs the 100% all natural African Shea Butter that I usually purchase. The Palmers brand is not for me. I prefer the 100% all natural African Shea Butter, actually. To combat the rigidity of the all natural product, I just allow a few seconds for it to warm in my closed fist. Thereafter, it applies just fine.

Q: What is the difference (other than jar size) between this Palmer's "raw shea balm" and the Palmer's "shea butter formula" ? Which is better?

Balm is a bit more greasy, but both have excellent moisturizing properties and scent

Q: Does this have any kind of seal under the lid? Mine just arrived with the lid slightly ajar and no seal underneath- is this normal?

No there is no seal under the lid

Q: Is this suppose to have little chunks of cocoa butter in it like balls

Yes it’s a balm and very thick, you just have to rub it in really good
