Tailwind Nutrition Endurance Fuel 50 Serving Naked Flavour (unflavoured)

This is my go to fuel for cycling and running. It mixes clean, isn’t stick or nasty and cleans up easily. It tastes good and doesn’t give me any GI distress at all. It’s brilliant. Not cheap. But brilliant.

Been using tailwind for years now and always come back to the unflavoured (not that there's anything up with the other flavours) Woulnd go a long run with out this, its certainly not all I need for 30+ mile runs as I like solid proper food but its a great product and having tried various other brands I always come back

Hot Sauce

It’s a great product, tried it this month on a half ironman (6.5 hrs) and on a 50K trail run (6 hrs) with no side effects whatsoever and no cramping. Very easy to digest and the Naked flavor is actually great. But I had to take a protein bar 2/3 into the 50K run (very exhausting/hilly) to get back my mental clarity and better energy. Learned from other ultra runners (and other products) since then that protein is needed for very long workouts to prevent a drop in sugar levels. Will always use protein from now on, in addition to the energy nutrition. Will probably not renew if the competing product, which has 4g of protein per serving, works better. But otherwise this is an excellent product for shorter events! 10/2/2020 update: Tailwind Nutrition promptly clarified for me how to add protein to the fueling strategy, and it’s a great idea. Giving this a 5-star now! Response: "It's actually even easier...just use straight Rebuild as it contains glucose and sucrose, similar to our Endurance Fuel. We have some customers on very long efforts who, like you, would like some protein. They'll end up using both products with Endurance Fuel as their primary fuel and Rebuild interjected every now and then."

I use this in my water when running/biking/ hiking etc. on long, hot days. Works well. Flavour is okay. Good for electrolyte replacement and also some extra calories for those long days. It is kind of expensive though. But good stuff.

After bonking hard during my first marathon using just chews, I knew I needed a better fueling strategy for my next marathon. I chose Tailwind because it’s recommended by alot of ultramarathoners and if it’s good enough for all those miles then surely it’ll work for a measly 26.2. I love the light taste and it never upset my stomach. I’ve used it in half marathons and during my marathon training. For my road marathon, i made a super concentrate of four servings in 2 5oz soft flasks that I tucked into my pockets (no hydro vests, belts allowed) and drank plain water from the aid stations. Worked perfectly
