Quick and Classy
**UPDATE: February 15,2021** I'm just updating my review to say that I have now had these installed on my truck for the last 8 years and they are still in perfect condition! I would upload new pictures, but they still look the same! These have been a fantastic purchase for my truck and worth every single penny! **UPDATE: December 30, 2013** These visors are still going strong. I did decide to have them paint matched to my truck (see picture in customer images). They took to the paint prep job and new paint very well. I had to remove the 3M tape that came installed on them when I gave them to the paint shop and re-applied new 3M tape when I got them back and re-installed them on my truck. No sticky residue was left on any of the visors or in my window tracks (AVS uses good quality 3M automotive grade tape on these!). Reapplying the new 3M tape went smoothly and they have been holding true since April (eight months now) with no issues. I still highly recommend these visors! **Original review from February 19, 2013** Vehicle installed on: 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie CC I purchased the AVS visors off Amazon as they were the best price I could find and I got them delivered in two days with my Prime membership. I have only had the tape on version in the past (on my '99 Tahoe) and although I was quite pleased with them, I swore I would not tape anything to the paint on my new $45k truck.. LOL! So I bought these in-channel visors. I must say they are rather simple to install. I only had issues with the passenger front door.. it wasn't seating right and kept engaging the auto-down window feature. After about fifteen minutes of cussing and wanting to break it in half, I finally got it wiggled into place. All windows are up and will stay that way for at least a few days to ensure the tape takes and all visors seat properly. Including my rant fest with the one window, this install took me approximately twenty-five minutes for all four windows. Now that they are installed.. I am not sure if I should have them paint matched. (I know they are taped in.. but I could always put fresh 3M tape on them after being painted to install them again.) Decisions, decisions. I would recommend these visors to everyone! To previous reviewers who have had issues with installing these visors due to the window auto-down feature: These visors do fit our trucks (please verify the part number is applicable to your specific vehicle) and they will install into windows with the auto-down feature. Please do not rate this item poorly due to your lack of patience! You have to be *patient* with the installation.. the visors will not seat perfectly at first and you will most likely have a few minutes of frustration when the auto-down feature of the windows is engaged due to making contact with the inside edge of the visors. Once you get them installed, leave your windows up, uninterrupted, for at least 24 hours. This allows the visors to properly seat into position.

Simple, straight forward, no issues here..
Pretty straight forward install. Fitment was excellent. I used the Brillo pad it came with to scrub extra on the felt to wear it down a bit after I installed the first shade. I did have the problem like most of the window hitting the shade and rolling back down due to the safety sensor. But once I scrubbed it really well I got most of my windows to roll up the first time.. I did not have to cut or use a Dremel drill. But after I installed all four window shades I did take a small file and smoothed and tapered out the corner spots the windows were hitting to begin with. So installation from start to finish was only about 45mins. Very simple.. I think after the windows have been up for awhile the pressure from the window rolled up against the shade will flatten out the double sided tape so rolling up the windows won’t be a issue in the future.. Just getting the windows to roll up the first time can be tricky. So not everyone may have to use a file like I did. Overall I’m happy and pleased with these AWS shades. They should hold up very well. I really like that these are in channel making any vehicle look natural and smooth VS the outer ones that look clunky and cheap. I’ve had other cheap junky ones in the past that wouldn’t hold up and some that the fitment was way off. I think it’s always better to spend that little bit extra for piece of mind not that these were all that expensive to begin with.. Thanks!

Look awesome, took some modding
They came with no instruction, but have done these before and didn't need any. As some have relayed, the "tab" on the front visors slip into where the rubber mirror seal presses onto the door. The front windows did indeed bounce back down upon hitting the visors, left the truck to bake in the sun for a few days and it seemed to become worse, the driver side unable to close at all unless pulling outward on the visor...I expected this issue after experiencing it on a Raptor and Weathertech visors. I would recommend placing the visors in the channels before peeling the tape, hold them in place and close the window on them maybe five times..even if the windows close there will be a clunking when the glass first encounters the visors, front windows and back. Observe where the first contact is, where the clunking occurs. On the fronts, it will be in the back and at the bottom where the flat in-channel portion meets curve...the "corner." You should be able to see flattening and "whitening" were the plastic visor takes the hit from the window. File/Dremel/sand that corner tapered and sharp, easing the window's transition from channel to channel/visor. Test operation by placing the visor in the channel and operating the windows. The back windows don't have the bounce back safety feature, so they will most likely work but with a clunking that can't be good for the window mechanism/motor. Do the same with these except for filing both ends, the places will be similar to the "corner" that received the filing on the front. Before taping, ensure that the windows all operate smoothly and trouble free including the auto-up feature on the fronts. Out here in Vegas, sticky tape isn't worth a poo, it dries out and fails quickly...the Weathertech's eventually loosened on the Ford., a rear fell off on the highway but luckily fell into the open window. I applied a very thin line of quality clear silicone on them all, a tiny amount really, after removing the failed tape and reinstalled using the windows to hold them while curing. They were still on the truck and looking good when sold nine years later. I removed the tape and did the same with these on the Ram initially and proactively. Not saying that you should and I certainly wouldn't until determining that the windows will operate properly first...ymmv.

These were very easy to install. Just had to use a screw driver to pry up the mirror a bit to install the tab. Seem to adhere well they have been on my truck for a couple weeks now and have had no issues. They look sharp and definitely help when it's raining.

Really easy to install, clean it very well and after you mount it, close the window on it for a few hours. They look much better then the sticker ones on almost every other vehicle. Worth the extra work. Just wish this company had different sizes available.

Bought this because it said it fit my 2019 ram 1500 classic warlock but it didn’t the rears slid in fine and adhered well and closed to a snug fit. The fronts however went in good but noticed about the front 1-1 1/2 inches of the 3m tape didn’t have anywhere to adhere to as the in channel of it dipped thought nothing of it cuz it looked like it fit. However the window refused to close as it didn’t sit right with the plastic overhang on the front and when I finally managed to get it to closed it creaked a lot, when opening the window again caused to to keep opening again refusing to close after one rain guard snapped and started to chip on the other I gave up.
