Great quality and flavour
As with all Steenbergs herbs and spices this is excellent quality and a great flavour without the bitterness you often get in granules and powders. Perfect for someone like me who can't eat garlic in food but can tolerate the powder. There are much cheaper options and you don't get a huge amount for your money but it's great for rubs/marinades as it has a fine texture and really strong flavour and you can get away with it for garlic butter as it doesn't have a grainy texture. I'd say use cheaper versions for dishes like pasta sauce or stew where the extra quality doesn't make much of a difference to flavour but would to your budget! If you're like me and like a snazzy kitchen counter with useful things closer to hand, the Steenberg jars look really nice!

Do not put it into hot oil, sprinkle into the sauce.
Like: Quality, consistency and flavour Dislike: No clear instructions Uses: I wanted to substitute for real garlic when I run out and it is raining (I love garlic). Tried adding it to the cooking oil and onions but it congealed into lumps. So now I add it in when the sauce is made and it is perfect. A small amount will suffice. Will try their onion version.

Good value jar
I couldn't find this in the supermarkets (only garlic salt or garlic granules) - I needed this for a recipe. It is a huge jar compared to a usual supermarket size and will last ages. Great value

This is powerful stuff
Have bought this several times and it's from China. Have searched for garlic powder made in the UK but there doesn't seem to be any, not even from The Garlic Farm on the Isle of Wight (I wonder why?) I sprinkle some of this on my mixed nuts along with a pinch of flaked salt. Tasty!

Misleading advertising - not from Egypt but from China
The advertisement states that the product is from Egypt; however, upon receipt of it, the product advertising on the jar itself states it is from China. That is false and misleading advertising and I wonder why Amazon UK allows this to happen!
