Already an Edwin Jagger owner I know these razors to be a good solid bet. Well made and comfortable with a smooth, unaggressive cut, (dependant on personal style and blade of course!), this was a good choice for my teenage son, the modern looking rubber handle and styling ensured a good response. He needed a better shave than disposables supply. Difficult to clean, and expensive to change frequently, meant his skin was suffering. The initial cost of this razor is nothing compared to the savings in blades. He can use a new blade every few days and his skin is vastly improved, as I hoped it would. This is a cool looking razor which is easy to use. The idea that this type of razor means more cuts is not true, a slight change in technique may be needed but the results are well worth it. My son has less redness and the rash on his neck is gone. I think he might now actually believe something I've told him.... but then again perhaps I'm deluding myself.

I first used this yesterday and my god what a smooth shave. It's truly a pleasure to use. Nice balance between the head and the handle (which is short) but it works very well with a nice rubber grip. It doesn't allow you to add much pressure to the blade. This let's the razor do its job by using its own weight. This is a 3 piece razor and bends the blade for a smoother ride. Nice chrome finish that goes well with the black. Highly recommended razor.

Great razor, this is the 2nd one I have bought from amazon as I also have the ivory one. Well worth the price but never received my five pack of razor blades that was included in the price. Not a deal breaker but I like to get what I pay for. I would have given 5 stars but for this.

The razor was smaller than I was expecting (my own fault as I didn’t read the specs) however it is still very easy to handle, the rubber coating gives a very good grip even when my hand was wet, and the shave was probably the best I’ve had. Overall it’s a fantastic razor.

This is my third one for the set....a DE89 Kelvin...the DE86R (Black) and the DE87R (White). As you can probably guess...I like them! The finish is perfect and I really like the short handle.The shave is mild but if you know the direction of hair growth on your face and neck and shave accordingly....it can be very efficient when used with a sharp blade. The Derbys provided are not the 'sharpest blades in the box' but give something to start with. One word of advice to prospective buyers. Do NOT overtighten when reassembling the razor after a blade change. Zamak which is the material used for the razor head is relatively soft and the threads will fail if consistently over tightened. This is probably the cause of previously reported razor head failures.

Just received my Edwin Jagger DES86RCBLAMZ Short Handled Classic Double Edge Manual Eco-Friendly and Reusable Safety but it's not as described which is disappointing, whilst the quality still feels good it has come with a chrome handle & not with the rubber handle for secure gripping as advertised, nor has it come with the 5 blades as also advertised in the description.

Nice and heavy razor with a good smooth angle. It makes shaving quick, easy, and safe. The handle is a little shorter than I'd prefer, but definitely works.

This is a wonderful razor and a very good deal. The handle is short but fits neatly in my hand and rests on my pinky. The razor is mild, efficient, and maneuverable. I have another DB89, but this one gives a better shave. It also makes an excellent travel razor. The rubber handle is very secure even with soapy hands. All in all a woderful purchase!
