"Throw, it Back!"
Well, that's what Birdo makes me think of. Because the game I remember the most when it comes to Birdo, would be Super Mario Bros. 2 from the regular NES. It was like a mini boss that would spew eggs from it's mouth that you would then have to jump on top of and pick up so that you could throw them back at Birdo. However, when the original Super Mario Bros. 2 first came out, someone apparently messed up on Birdo's name in the end credits AND in the instruction manual, by making it's name "Ostro." At least, that's what I think. Because the enemy that they named "Birdo" instead, was an ostrich looking animal that Shyguys would often ride on. I mean, it's pretty safe to assume that an ostrich looking animal was meant to be called "Ostro," right? And besides that, the text under Birdo's name said, "He thinks he is a girl and he spits eggs from his mouth. He'd rather be called "Birdetta." And that makes it pretty apparent that it was meant to be called "Birdo" all along. That's also why there was so much confusion regarding Birdo's gender.Anyway, I could go on and explain the fascinating history of Birdo, but that could take a while, lol. If you are a big fan of Birdo though, I would suggest researching the history of Birdo. Ah well, to me Birdo is a must have figurine for any Super Mario fan or even just Nintendo fan. And while this figurine of Birdo is still available it should be scooped up! Because it won't be long before it's not available anymore and eventually costs a fortune if you CAN find one available.

Arrived opened
Bought this as a gift and the item was open. The plastic was completely separate from the cardboard backing. The figure is fine but no longer a displayable in the box item. Highly annoyed

Bought this as a gift for my son. He collects the 2.5” figures. Showed up open with no backing. Figure looks ok but still annoying. Not as described.
