Excellent! Re sealed round the top and bottom of our log burner flue. Easy to use. After reading reviews, I agree using gloves is a must, and having a damp cloth to hand. Making it very slightly damp makes for a smoother finish. Has made a perfect seal first time, and dried very quickly. Mine is still black, but presume it will fade over time. Very pleased.

It’s good, but look at utube demos before applying as it will be different to your current look so needs to be put on in a considered and tidy manner. Mask off the top of the burner and around the chimney to get clean lines etc. I’m afraid ours’ looks a bit botched!

Great value, very DIY friendly product, thought I was gonna have to buy new stone inserts for my log burner. I looked on here and found this product. The baffle had company broken into two pieces, I used this to ‘glue’ them back together, and also sort out lots of cracks that had developed inside the log burner. It’s gone off rock hard, I’ve had several fires since using this and no issues, time will tell I guess. I appreciate it doesn’t look as aesthetically pleasing as buying new would have, however it’s saved me money and I’m happy with that, I would recommend 🔥🔥🔥

Perfect for lining the bottom of the timer to give protection to the metal when burning paper/ wood etc, easily mouldable to the shape required, always leave at least 48hrs before using to ensure it has set &gone off, great service

I was amazed how malleable and easily applied this cement is sealing the joint between the chimney blanking plate and the flue. We were beginning to see insulation beads escaping after the original cement dropped. Gloves and pointing trowels - small to get behind the flue and large to force the mix into more accessible positions.. I think, on reflection, I might have preferred the 'gun' delivery so more could be forced upwards. I will wait and see. If this repair fails, it will be my fault, not the product and I will happily try again but use the gun.

bought a tub on here last year. used a little made sure it was sealed, and when i went out to use it a second time its set to pure stone.. dries a lighter colour makes a tidy job but last s for a short while only

Easy to apply either with a putty knife or fingers. Smoothes nicely and blends in well with black wood burning stove flue and stove body.

non è un collante come indicato ma un mastice sigillante per le fughe e le giunzioni delle stufe e dei relativi tubi per scarico fumi. Per cui a fine stagione quando si smonta tutto per la pulizia si rimuove facilmente, a differenza del silicone che ormai tutti ti vogliono rifilare. Altro vantaggio è che quello che resta si conserva tranquillamente per il prossimo anno con l'accortezza di aggiungerci un filo di acqua. Stessa aggiunta se nella lavorazione risultasse troppo pastoso.

J'ai employé ce mastic pour faire l'étanchéité entre une plaque horizontale en acier qui cachait un trou et les briques réfractaires. Facile à appliquer bien que le mastic soit très épais. Il faut faire attention au volume nécessaire : 500 grammes mais en fait un volume utile de 220 cm3, dans mon cas, si j'avais connu le volume livré, j'aurais mesuré l'espace à remplir et je n'aurais pas eu à refaire une commande et dans la foulée, j'aurais pris 1 kg pour avoir un meilleur prix.
