amiciSmart WiFi Energy Meter with Over/Under Voltage, Leakage and Over Current/Load Protection, Timer Switch Compatible with SmartLife App, Din Rail Mounted

The AmiciSmart WiFi Energy Meter is an excellent device for monitoring energy usage. It offers real-time tracking of power consumption and provides customizable protections, including low and high voltage protection, high current protection, and leak/residual current protection – all adjustable via the mobile app. I have two of these meters installed in both my homes, and the app makes it incredibly convenient to monitor energy usage and detect any issues remotely. Overall, this is a very useful product with impressive features at an affordable price. Highly recommended!

The product is a decent one and has great features like over / under voltage protection, over current protection, voltage, current, power and energy display on the colour LCD as well as the mobile app. Another great feature is the detection of leakage current (in mA) and tripping on its basis, which serves the function of ELCB, thereby enhancing the safety against electric shock. The threshold leakage current can be set from the mobile app. The only issue with this wonderful product is that its width is not an integral multiple of the standard 18mm with of an SP module. We have installed four of these- one each for our four solar PV inverters.l (see pic) and I shall have to increase the opening of the Tripbox to accommodate all the modules. Edit- Dec 2025: Of late, the old switch got replaced with a new, bigger version supporting higher current, but the WiFi setup is very tricky, while its documentation is almost missing. After many failed attempts with this dumb version of the switch, I am constrained to return, though I chose not to deduct from the star rating as the older switches are still continuing to perform the intended task.

amiciSmart WiFi Energy Meter Purchased this item to control my home supply of electricity in a safe manner. Previously, I had installed an RCCB. However, during thunderstorms or slight electricity high usage, the RCCB would trip, requiring manual reset. Now, with this amiciSmart installed in place of the RCCB, everything is automated. Along with an inverter-based WiFi router, I can switch the power supply of the entire house on and off from anywhere. Pros: - Automation: The ability to control the power supply remotely is a game-changer. No more rushing to the distribution box during storms. - Safety: Enhanced monitoring and control help in maintaining a safe electrical environment at home. - Convenience: The app interface is user-friendly, making it easy to manage the power settings. Cons: - Size: The unit is a bit wide. I had to modify the distribution box to fit it properly, which was a minor inconvenience but worth the benefits. Overall, the amiciSmart WiFi Energy Meter has significantly improved the safety and convenience of managing my home’s electricity. Highly recommended despite the size adjustment needed for installation. Photos attached.

I had purchased this unit in July 2023. In 2024 it had failed. Customer service asked me to send it to Delhi for repairs which I received in 15-20 days. Since then it was working well. Today 10th Aug 2025 it has failed again. Looks like it will need to replace it with new one. Equipment is very good and works well however durability is in question. It should last for atleast 4-5 years.

Good Product.

Have been using it for more than a year. Still works flawlessly. I use it with the LocalTuya integration of Home Assistant. Never faced any issues. In a few Off-Grid Inverters, the Grid mode stays on during the daytime even when the solar power generation is normal. This happens when the Battery Voltage falls below the cut-off voltage, possibly during the night. My Home assistant automation uses it as a breaker to cut the Grid supply off and force my inverter to use Solar Power instead. By the end of the day, when batteries are fully charged, Grid supply is restored. Also, I use total_forward_energy to accurately monitor my power consumption and to calculate my bimonthly bill estimate. Better, easier and more accurate than the Home Assistant Utility Meter. This will show accurate readings even if Home Assistant is unavailable for some time.
