The Split Coin: More than just a coin outside a plastic bag!
When you do Coin Magic, you have a few small options as far as gimmicks go. You can stock up on expanded shells and see your way clear to being able to do most routines out there that aren't, you know, hard. There are the non expanded shells too, for those of you who like being difficult just for he sake of being difficult ππππππThere are plenty of other Gimmicks such as the folded coin, the stack, the coins with different reveals on, the bit coin and all the other things you can do with that bitten coin! And well I think I have given enough away now so no need to name every single thing, as there are still a few I neglected to mention. The Split Coin! What is it?It's a great gimmick for coin magicians to get to know urgently and start using now! It has so many uses and can work, work, work! What can it do?It can do everything, and I mean EVERYTHING that your Expanded or otherwise Shell Gimmick can do already.Did you get that?Everything a shall can do.Oh and whilst you are appreciating that a little factoid bubble, I recommend you throw this one into the fires too: It can do everything your wee folded number can do. Yep. In seconds it just single-handedly engulfed two of the most commonly used and popular gimmicks and it really hasn't even gotten started. Is it any good?Is that a trick question? It IS EXTREMELY GOOD at what it does. So much so in fact that it is almost as good at what it doesn't do too.How does it work?Oh COME ON NOW! I cannot possibly, after revealing so much already, start describing the ins and outs of the actual workings of this finely machined coin here, in public, in front of the laymen. Nope. Even I must draw a line.It is manipulated between the fingers and in the hands to certain positions that enable the raconteur to convince the spectator that some kind of trickery is taking place,"laws of physics, I say ye bend to my will!" That sort of thing.Does it compare to other gimmicks?Hell yes!Favourably?See the previous answer. Why don't you own one already?Do I recommend it?I seriously cannot recommend this enough. It truly is a piece of genius. A piece of genius creamed off the flotsam of life. Whosoever thought this up and then managed to follow through in such a way as this, to make such a beautifully crafted item out of the idea, to create such utility and beauty all rolled into one..it marks them as not merely genius but 'Genius of the genus Cranius.'If you do not own on of these babies by tomorrow evening then you do not deserve eyes.Or hands. The Split Coin: More than just a coin outside a plastic bag!

Works and looks good
Looks pretty good, it's hard to spot that it is a trick coin, even when passed out for closer inspection. The magnets are strong too so the coin can be stuck to metal surfaces (handy for hiding and retrieving)

has the Wow factor
I use this trick several times per day, although there are a number of tricks than can be performed with it, I choose to use the 'removal from a seal plastic bag' method. It lives people scratching their heads! If you choose to use this method buy a stock of small zip-lock bags as the bags wear and eventually split.

Magnets not very strong
well made in appearance but does not hold together very well, especially if trying the plastic bag trick described in the instructions. often falls apart when trying to perform the trick.
