I purchased eight of these hives based on just a few positive reviews so I was a little worried. I just finished putting the first hive together. First, they are made in China. My experience with many Chinese-made products is usually negative, however, these hives are excellent. The instructions are clear and concise. The pieces fit together nicely and are covered in wax - both the wood pieces and the plastic parts of the frames. The screw holes are pre-drilled to prevent cracking. The wood is good quality, they are sturdy and they look nice once assembled. The kit includes all of the components needed to start a hive. No regrets here, I love them.

Bought this hive to get started beekeeping. I have absolutely no experience with woodwork or carpentry, but this came together quick and easy- I actually had fun putting it together! You will need some wood glue and a hammer, but other than that this package has everything you need. The hive itself is beautiful and smells great. The cedar wood seems to be high quality, and it is indeed coated with beeswax. I've had the hive outside for about two weeks now and even in rain and storms it seems to be holding up very well. For a first hive, this is great!

Heavily waxed so I was very pleased I did not have to paint it. Easy to construct. Be sure to use a square for the corners before screwing it together. I used this hive and bought an Apimaye bottom board that I screwed onto it. Their bottom board was well made but I wanted something specific with the Apimaye bottom board. As soon as I split my hives, I will buy another one. Great langstroth hive!

I am in warm climate and I’m sure that is why I had no trouble assembling as some reviewers did.The dovetail joints are so properly made that with the coating of wax it could seem too tight to assemble (if you’re doing it in cooler weather and wax is hard.)All parts were perfect.No warps or splits in anything.Was not expecting this level of quality was just looking for cheap hive as a spare.Very happy.Lots of tap tap tapping together on building the frames but again - price and quality make the assembly time worth it.

Easy to assemble and great value for the money. Il buy more in the future. Really nothing negative to say except maybe get a better pack of nails because the ones that came with it, some were a little bent. Other than that great hive!

The media could not be loaded. This bee hive is the best quality i have ever bought. I will be buying nothing but thxbees from now on. It has a strong telescopic with metal cover. The inner cover is light,strong, and wax dipped. Next you have the medium super, the wood is very nice. The dovetails fit very snugly and have predrilled holes. The medium frames are light wax dipped yellow plastic foundation, with a good amount of wax on the coating. The hive also comes with a queen excluder. The deep brood box also has great quality wood. The plastic foundations of the deep box are black. Which in my opinion makes it a lot easier to see the eggs and larva. The bottom board is a solid double sided bottom board with and entrance reducer. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of the entire hive and can't wait to add bees to it.
