The first cookbook holder came with the wood unfinished and cracking. I suppose every quality control process has a glitch now and then. Because of the numerous positive ratings, I decided to opt for a replacement. This holder is everything I expected: nice wood finish, adjustable angle for the book and rubber-tipped prongs to hold the pages open without damaging the paper. It holds cookbooks as well as single-page recipes. It is attractive enough to leave out on the counter or folds flat for storage. I keep mine with cutting boards. Cooking with a recipe will be so much easier.

I purchased this for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. Holds pages back without damaging them and it is very attractive in her kitchen. Sturdy!

I was concerned this may not hold one of my large cookbooks but it does it with ease. My latest book is 700 pages and finally I have something to keep my recipes at eye level and away from splatters. Great value for the money.

Does exactly what it needs to. Holds every cookbook we have. Love the adjustable base as well so that you can tilt the book to your liking. Love the wood finish as well

Super Qualität, die Stütze hält echt einiges aus. Was auch sehr praktisch ist, sind die kleinen Ärmchen zum fixieren der Seitenblätter. Ein toll verarbeiteter Buchständer.

Dès réception, je l'ai déballé avec impatience. J'y ai posé le livre sur lequel je travaille en ce moment, très grand (mais peu épais) : impeccable. J'ai essayé avec un très gros livre : impeccable (l'une des 2 branches qui maintiennent les pages avait ensuite un peu de jeu, j'ai donné un petit coup de tournevis, le mal est réparé, je ferai très attention à l'avenir !) Un achat que je ne regrette pas ! Édit le lendemain : Un incident modère ma satisfaction : les vis, à l'arrière, qui fixent la crémaillère permettant d'incliner le lutrin, sont tombées, et sont impossibles à revisser (pas de vis abîmé ?) les 2 du même côté ; j'ai donné un coup de tournevis préventif aux 2 autres, de l'autre côté. J'ai remis en place les vis tombées en les "vissant" au maximum et je les maintiens par une bande de scotch. Pour le moment, cela ne nuit pas à l'utilisation du lutrin. Quant aux livres vraiment très épais : à éviter, chez moi la vis d'un des bras de maintien a pris du jeu, mais elle, j'ai pu la revisser très strictement ! Dans l'ensemble, je maintiens : (presque) absolument parfait !
