Looks like it’ll do the job well. Took 5 minutes to change it out with the old one. Gear changes already better!

Good wire, a few things in the listing suggest a pair, such as the price per unit being half the total total price, suggesting two units; the packaging being labelled " 1 set", and the omission of the decimal point in the title at "1.2mm" leaving it readable as 2 x2100mm. But's that's all on Amazon, the Shimano gear cable is clean and comes with a single end cap to crimp on. These cables are so fine they aren't particularly abrasion resistant so benefit from careful handling until safely installed. Leaving an over length section in place while I installed mine and indexed the gears, a minute of hitting rotating spokes was enough to fray the strands on the bit I then discarded.

Having worked on bikes for years I’m I always like to keep things original and have never had issues using Shimano cables… yes you can buy the likes of Sram, Jagwire etc but keeping it as Shimano intended is always a priority for me so quality and reliability is a must.

It's always reassuring to buy the original equipment from the manufacturer, and the same applies to the cables. Fit really easily and look strong.
