The suction doesn't work on most surfaces but my son didn't go through a dumping his plate phase so ig we lucked put. They are rubber and very durable. They are cute and the little cups are the perfect starter cups for a toddler

Overall the items are easy to clean and they’re a good size. The suction could be a little better but it’s still hard for a kid to mess with it.
