Excellent Product!
My setup includes: AWOL VISION IC-A150 Motorized Slider Tray for Ultra short throw(UST) projector AWOL VISION 150-inch Projector Screen Fixed Frame, 1.3 dB Peak Gain AWOL VISION LTV-3000 Pro 4K 3D Ultra Short Throw Triple Laser Projector This product is the simplest of the set. It works as advertised and allows you to save some space when the projector is not in use. The tray slides out smoothly and automatically when the projector is powered on and slides back to closed and compact form when the projector is powered off. This slider is a great match with the 150" screen and the projector.

Surprisingly easy set up & IT WORKS!
The cabinet my AWOL projector was sitting on had just a bit more empty space between it and the soundbar/motorized screen "assembly" that I made than I wanted. Due to price and being uncertain about complexity of integrating it into my set up I was hesitant, but finally bought it. No regrets. It was easy to set up and functioned perfectly with the AWOL projector's USB port in the back. I was worried since the USB port on the side controled the Vivid Storm motorized floor screen. It was also easy to set how far tray moved. It is what I would call very precise. Overall improves the look and functionality of the projection system.

Solidly Built, Very Quiet, Poor Instructions
First of all, the build quality on this sliding tray is excellent in my opinion. It feels solid, sturdy, has weight to it and opens/closes with a steady hum that I could barely hear while standing in a room with no other observable sounds. I consider my automatic floor to ceiling rising ALR screen to be quiet and it makes 2-3 times more noise than this tray. Additionally, the tray works just as you expect and “remembers” the extended position you want it to be in if you let it sit for 30 seconds. Instructions My primary problem with this device is the very poor job they did providing instructions on how to attach the brackets used to secure the tray to either your wall or your tv cabinet. First of all, the “instructions” sheet does a great job of providing information about the slider (length, width, loading capacity, etc.). It does a fair job of telling you what parts are in the box since it lists the two brackets but not the “bracket extenders” (at least, that is what I decided to call them) and it says there is one set of screws but there were three different sets of screws, in individual bags with labels on them. From the pictures in the Amazon listing, the brackets appear to be attached directly under the tray and an inch or two inside its edges. This makes it look like the brackets are perfectly flat and bent in kind of an L shape. Well, the ones I received are L shaped but also have a partially raised edge on one side so, the brackets should be installed on the bottom corners of the tray. You can also tell this because that is the only way the mounting holes line up with the brackets. Since, I wanted to attach the tray to my tv stand (and not the wall) I initially tried to install the brackets so that the L shape bent downward but finally figured out that, no matter what your plan is, the bend of the bracket should go up instead. Then, it is the bracket extenders that are installed either up or down. Bags Of Screws I Received 1. “Bracket Fixing Screws” - used to attach the brackets to the bottom of the sliding tray and the bracket extenders to the brackets. 2. “Head Fixing Screws” - looks like screws that should be used to secure the tray to the wall or tv stand. Since the IKEA TV stand cabinets I was using are made of black melamine, I opted not to use these at all and just came up with an alternative solution I will not describe here. If your cabinet is solid wood, these screws may work for you. 3. “Laser TV Fixing Screws” - ?? Perhaps these are used to attach your UST projector to the tray? My non-AWOL Vision projector did not allow for this so, I am only speculating here. The instructions provide no insight on this process nor any explanation for the use of these screws. My guess is that the manufacturer considered the installation of the brackets to be intuitively obvious so, they provided nearly no instruction on how that should be performed. As a technical person, I found the process to be frustrating at first and would have appreciated a few more illustrations showing how the parts, screws, etc. should be assembled. I am taking off 1 star as a result of this. As a contrast, I saw a YouTube video by “All Things Tech” for the Nothing Projector Intelligent UST Sliding Tray and their instructions sheet looked much more helpful and complete — you may want to check that one out as well. All of the sliding trays I have researched have cost about $500 and could stand to be reduced by $200. Seriously, you could build a stationary box out of hardwood, paint or stain it whatever color you like and get the basic functionality of this tray (I.e., sitting your UST projector at the right height and distance from the screen) while saving $420. Finally, this kit comes with a USB cord that you plug into the tray and the other end into your projector so that the tray knows when to slide back and forth. The cable has a standard plastic shielding that rubs against the flat powder coated steel sliding part of the tray. Even though the steel edge is not so sharp that it will cut your finger, it is also not blunt so, I wonder if it will wear away that plastic shielding over time. Since this is all behind the tray/projector and nobody can see it, I plan to buy some clear plastic tubing from Home Depot and cut enough of it to find around the cable wire. This will help me not worry about the cable being damaged over time. Hopefully, this review was helpful to you.

Tray Saved The Day
So I recently bought the AWOL ultra short throw projector and was dissapointed when I could only get about a 75" display image with it sitting on my TV stand. The only solution was to pull the stand ridiculously far from the wall to get it to a decent size. This tray solved that issue by moving itself to the perfect spot every time. I think the price could probably be about cut in half and then it would be a really great deal but it integrates with the projector very smoothly and without a complicated setup process. I was able to set it to project out a 120" image which is exactly what I needed but it could go further out if I had a bigger screen.

Does not move unless i move it!
I installed it with a vava projector at first, and it did not work with out manually moving myself. I was already planning on buying awol 3500 pro thought it would work with it and now still does not automatically retract or extend with power on/off of projector. Very disappointed. Will update with interaction with awol support.

Wonderful Product
I struggled to think I had to give up so much room in my living room with a bulky wall unit so to have the AWOL at just the right position. When I saw that AWOL came out with a motorized slider for their projector, I immediately purchased one. Hurray, this unit is fabulous. Do not hesitate to purchase, you will thank yourself after the purchase. (The sound on the video is the screen not the unit. The motorized slide is absolutely quiet.)

Well made heavy motorised slide, I waited until it was on sale as it is an expesive item. As well as using the unit to position an ultra short throw projector It automatically slides back into the AV unit which gives the lens some protection from dust. When setting up be aware the projector should be powered off and that means totally and not on standby. If not the shelf will not slide back to the close position when you finish watching the projector. I had this issue with my hisense P2 projector which remained on standby and worked around this using an Alexa routine to turn the mains power of at the plug serving the projector after the film completed.

The AWOL Vision IC-A120 Motorized Slider has worked fantastic in my theater setup. Installation was straightforward, the build quality feels premium, and the motion is smooth and quiet—exactly what you want in a dedicated cinema space. It integrates perfectly with my projector, and the motorized adjustment makes setup and fine-tuning effortless. Once it’s dialed in, it performs flawlessly and adds a professional touch to the whole system. If you’re building or upgrading a home theater and want something reliable, solid, and easy to use, this motorized slider is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.
