I bought this electric mug/candle warmer for my dad, and it has been a game-changer for him. W4wood is the version that I purchased. I think the shape is a little funky, but I loved the idea of the LARGE plate for big candle jars like Yankee, B&BW, GooseCreek, Keepers of the Light, etc., and the circle included for the best spot to place my mug or candle. I like the wood color, and it looks like it belongs on nice furniture in my home. It's definitely large enough. Now for the best parts - it WORKS. IT WORKS WELL. It works so well, I now have 2 of these. You can even top with a separate cup to melt wax if you'd like. PLUSES: the timers, the temperature gauge, it melts candles, it HEATS COFFEE BACK UP and keeps it hot - even when my cup isn't entirely flat on the bottom. MINUSES: NONE at all except that I waited too long to buy this. It is 10/10 life changing b/c I LOVE my candles/scents but want to avoid the smoke and I want to use mugs that are gorgeous to drink hot coffee and tea but don't want to microwave or can't on those mugs... think golden dots and swirls. I'm fancy like that. It's safe with the built-in timer. It shuts off. The cord is a good length. It keeps my coffee hot and the look doesn't detract from my home. The candles melt cleanly and smell great. It's not too heavy but will hold well on a desk without gravity pulling it off. That won't be an issue. Hubby says it's not too hot underneath, either, so it should be safe on my plastic table or wooden furniture.

Amended review: I just, tonight, discovered that the problem with this pad not heating is not due to the pad, but is the result of a faulty, rather expensive surge protector. Initially, that plug in socket failed, then I noticed that another, less used, device was also down. I plugged the warming pad into another socket and it is working again. So, with the exception of the fading paint comment, below, I retract and rescind all of my previous commentary in my initial review. I have my warmer on, now, and it's working fine. I also want to note that the seller immediately offered me the options of either a refund or a replacement - this after 3 months of use - so I am very impressed. I regret my earlier review, as this product is now working as well as ever keeping my coffee warm. Considering that another device was faulty; that my error was not adequately checking the product on another circuit; and the seller's immediate response for a remedy, I would definitely purchase this again. I regret my error and hope this review amendment helps potential customers in their decisions. I changed the title, but left most of the original review up as an example for others to be more careful than I was about identifying fault in a product. PREVIOUS REVIEW - MY BAD! I received and started using this toward the end of December. It is now mid-March. Sitting beside me at the dining table, it was gently used almost daily. The paint on the power button was already prematurely wearing off, something which I had noted in reviews. Today, I tried to turn it on as usual, to keep my coffee heated. It didn't come on. I checked the plug, but it was fully connected. It was ... just dead! So, if you are okay with buying this product and having it last only a few months, then go for it. I take as much care as possible to avoid such wretched sustainability standards, but I botched it on this one! I hope you don't make the same mistake that I did, ignoring reviews and thinking I'd be one of the lucky ones! NOTE: IT WASN'T THE WARMER! SEE ABOVE REVIEW AMENDMENT!
