Tiny and so easy to use. I have two and a carbon monoxide detector networked and set up in the electrical spaces in my camper. It gives peace of mind knowing any smoke etc will trigger my phone and warn me. The alarm is loud and it connected easily to my in van WiFi. During recent welding work in my. An, the alarms detected the smoke and sent me a warning. I bought it during sales so it was good value for money.

Units are small, modern looking and neat, much smaller footprint than traditional detectors, although deeper so they do sit down from ceiling a little more. Setting up in general is easy, but you MUST have a 2.4Ghz wifi only band for these to connect and register. If you don’t have this or aren’t able to set one up (eg as a second WiFi), then it may not work for you. I’ve not tried disabling 5GHz and registering and then switching it back on after, some people say this works. Per other reviews it’s important to note the detector itself has a 10 year life (like many) but the battery life is only 1 year. (CR123 lithium battery), so you will need to replace it each year, not 10. Once set up any test on the detector button sends an alert to the app, as does any trigger or low battery warning etc. you can’t remote test them sadly but the app does show the battery status. with the app you set up rooms/areas in house and then add sensors to that area, it’s not immediately obvious. I’ve not had a chance to test the smoke sensitivity. Watch placement of smoke detectors to avoid “air dead zones”, the little manual does explain this.

Smaller than l was expecting, but easy to install especially with the magnet attachment

This is the third X-Sense Standalone Mini smoke alarm I've bought so I guess that says something, even though the sailing has not always been smooth. The first two, for two bedrooms, were installed using the magnetic mounts which was simplicity itself, but one of them refused to stick. The problem was resolved by using some 3M double-sided sticky pad. The other bedroom was, and remains, firmly stuck. Same ceiling type. Same paint used. Go figure. This third item was going to be fixed using the magnetic pad but the smoke alarm it replaced (a different 10-year battery powered item that failed after 5 years) had been screwed into a hatch. So I screwed the plastic mounting housing into one of the same holes and only had to make one extra hole. It still comes off easily (a quick twist) but can't be oriented so that the flashy red led bit points the correct way (I should have checked it before screwing in the housing). With the magnetic mounts you can just twist it 360 degrees to suit. Alarm is loud with an easy-to-access "test" button (3 ear-splitting beeps) and it flashes the aforementioned LED (on the same button) once every minute or so. I did not choose the Wi-Fi version as I could not for the life of me figure where that might be useful. I'm either at home, and will hear the alarm, or will be away and having the smoke alarm tell me that the alarm has gone off seems a bit stable door/horse bolted. But I feel safer now that our utility room with washing machine and tumble drying are supervised by this smoke alarm.

Cannot really over emphasise who good and reassuring these smoke detection units are. Like most 'wifi' enabled equipment its all based around the mobile phone App. Once downloaded the install of the smoke alarms is very straightforward following the instructions supplied. Fitting them again is simple & straight forward . The alarm sounder itself is definitely noticeable should they go off . As they are, they work as standalone smoke detectors however it is possible to link them so if one goes off they all go off with the purchase of another piece of kit , but all that is explained with the instructions etc. The real key and important benefit is you can locate these alarms in different physical locations other than within your own house and still have full functionality & visibility via the App. I have purchased now 3 sets of these alarms to cover my house and I have also fitted these into my elderly mothers house and already these alarms have proved there worth. Even though in a completely different location I have full visibility and get immediate alerts should the alarm be activated. You also have the ability via the App to instantly deactivate the alarm sound . Having had wireless App driven security cameras and security alarms for a long time now its great to have complete peace of mind now with these smoke detectors for both for myself and family members is really reassuring. Highly recommended and great value for money & peace of mind.

I have had this product less than a year and the ad says 10year battery life, however mine hasnt lasted a year and the magnetic holder does not hold the alarm it kept falling off the wall. Poor design

Originally had issues as malfunctioned 3 days outside the return window - but upon my review I was contacted to resolve the issue and a new device sent free of charge due to the malfunction. Excellent customer service. Rare in this world so thank you!

Las compré despues ver en las noticias tantos casos de incendios en las casas y quería sentirme tranquilo. La instalación es sencilla, vienen con unos tornillos pero echo en falta la opcion sin agujeros por lo que compre unas placas imantadas. La aplicación es sencilla y se vinculan fácilmente, ademas desde la misma puedes encenderlas, apagarlas y recibir notificaciones.

Llevan instalados unos meses y de momento funcionan bien. Puse uno fuera de la cocina, pero en ocasiones si te olvidas de encender la campana puede saltar la alarma, señal de que funcionan. Con solo pulsar el botón que lleva se anula la alarma. Vienen para ser instalados con tornillos. Yo no los usé, en su lugar utilice cinta adhesiva por las dos caras para fijarlos al techo y así evitar hacer agujeros (que seguro no coincidirán con los que traerán los que los sustituyan cuando llegue el momento). De momento no se ha caido ninguno. Conviene probarlos de vez en cuando pulsando el botón de pruebas que tienen.

Ich habe mich für dieses Feuermelder-Gesamtpaket entschieden, weil ich auf der Suche nach zuverlässigen, aber auch optisch ansprechenden Rauchmeldern war und ich wurde positiv überrascht! Die meisten Feuermelder sehen ja eher klobig und unscheinbar aus. Diese hier sind das komplette Gegenteil: klein, dezent und richtig schön im Design. Zum ersten Mal habe ich bei einem Sicherheitsprodukt gedacht: „Wow, das sieht richtig gut aus!“ Sie fügen sich unauffällig und stilvoll in jeden Raum ein, ohne wie ein störender Fremdkörper zu wirken. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, das Material fühlt sich wertig an, und selbst bei näherem Hinsehen erkennt man die saubere Verarbeitung. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass die Feuermelder so kompakt sind – kein unnötiger Platzverbrauch an der Decke und trotzdem ein sicheres Gefühl. Die Installation verlief unkompliziert: alles war dabei, was man braucht, und die Montage war schnell erledigt. Nach dem Einsetzen der Batterien (ebenfalls im Lieferumfang enthalten) haben sich die Geräte sofort synchronisiert und waren einsatzbereit. Ein erster Funktionstest zeigte: Sie reagieren zuverlässig und mit klar hörbarem Alarmton – laut, aber nicht schrill unangenehm.
