I really like this Vgate vLinker FS OBD2 USB adapter. It’s easy to use and has worked without any issues. I’ve owned and used various automotive scanners and programmers over the years, but most of my experience had been with Chevrolet and Japanese vehicles. I recently moved into Ford diagnostics and needed an inexpensive, reliable adapter that would work seamlessly with FORScan for feature programming and upgrades on a 2018 Ford F-150. The Vgate vLinker worked perfectly with FORScan. I was able to quickly connect, download and back up the vehicle’s existing configuration for safekeeping, make coding changes, and then reload the updated configuration back into the truck without any problems. That backup capability alone adds a lot of confidence when making changes. Since then, I’ve used this adapter at least a half dozen times diagnosing and working on Ford vehicles for friends and family, and it has been consistently reliable. For the price, this is an excellent value and an easy recommendation for anyone who needs to use FORScan on a Ford vehicle for diagnostics, programming, or feature upgrades.

Works well with a Mazda3 and ForScan.

I bought this to program and tune a new transmission control module with Forscan. It worked great. There's a little bit of learning curve, it's not plug and play, if your program doesn't already natively support it you need to download and install drivers, but beyond that it's perfect. Forscan can be a bit picky with cables, but this one worked perfectly and got me back on the road with no issues and saved me a grand having a dealer do it.

Works very well with FORSCAN software. The other types require you to flip a switch on the adapter this one does it electronically.

I have purchased this cable 3 times now, the 1st time it did not work. The 2nd I had to always plug a USB extension and worked when it wanted too. However, I thought I would try my luck the 3rd time a I have received a working cable. *Clap Clap* Cable is a little bulky but sturdy, works great with 2 Ford cars I have scanned. The ForScan software in itself is amazing, however a working cable certainly put a smile on my face.

Data communication is fast stable, and it performs reliably for diagnostics (did not try programming yet). Overall, this is a high-quality adapter that does exactly what it claims to do.
