Brilliant set of 10 full transcriptions of some absolute classics from the Tower of Power. Painstakingly done and presented nicely by top funk drummer David Garibaldi with plenty of his insights and anecdotes. Helpful annotations and tips in the music as well to help you nail the sound and feel. Songs are in full, with every single fill transcribed, and not just main grooves as in previous publications or magazine articles. David has gone to a great deal of trouble here. I only wish personally that he included "I Got The Chop" but you can't have everything!

Great addition to any drum library,, particularly if you want to advance your funk playing

These are note for note transcriptions of the whole drum part for Tower of Power tunes, not just short excerpts. Really terrific study for medium to advanced drummers.

Highly recommend accurate drum charts. There are so many ghost notes it makes this book scary lol

Never thought I would get to see the actual drum transcription from the bands recordings. Not a lead sheet! Very happy to have a copy of David's work.

David Garibaldi is one of the most influential drummers from the 1970’s. If you have ever studied his drumming style, transcriptions in this book will help verify what you learned.

Great book. Accurate transcriptions of 10 awesome Tower of Power tracks, by David Garibaldi himself. Nice anecdotes and descriptions too. The sheet music is very clear and nicely laid out.
