Wusthof Silverpoint II 4.5-Inch Serrated Brunch Knife

I love this little thing so much. I use it to chop up my toddler's food quickly. I never feel like the blade is going to slip or bend, and it cuts right through apples, bread, grapes, cheeses, cold cuts, chicken pieces, tomatoes, you name it. When I'm done using it, I wash it quickly by hand and dry it off right away, and I haven't seen any issues with rusting at all. I put it into a sheath that I also bought here on Amazon, look up the Knife Edge Guard 4.5 inch, it's a pink sheath that fits this knife perfectly. I'm going to buy a few more of these because I actually think I might cry if something ever happened to this one - it's that useful.

We love using this knife. It's very sharp! It also works well when making sandwiches as the blade is wide enough to put butter or mayonnaise on bread as well as slicing veggies and lettuce, sausage, ham, cheese, whatever. The plastic handle has held up very well through many cycles in the dishwasher. Good quality, excellent price! I've already bought a second one.

We use this to cut bread and to slice tomatoes. It is flawless for both functions and holds an edge wonderfully. At this modest price, we've purchased additional knives as gifts. While the blade isn't as rigid as some, if you are only using it as intended, it doesn't create any problems.This is truly one of the most useful knives in the drawer.

I love the Wusthof knives and I thought this one was like the set I bought. This is one is slightly cheaper and not made as well as the rest of my knives. I use it almost daily and it works nicely. It just feels cheap and light in my hand.

I tried to order the exact Wusthof knife that I already own and this was as close as I could get. The knife is very sharp and the serrated edge easily goes through bread, tomatoes, steak, just about anything I think. The handle is comfortable the knife easy to use.My one complaint is that the knife is not as "tall" as the ones I already own making the blade a bit more flimsy feeling. Doesn't stop it from going through the meat for instance but I preferred the older style.BTW, the older knives have held up very well over the years giving me confidence in Wusthof products.

I love this knife. Super sharp, cuts through everything I have tried including tomatoes, bread, melon, small craft dowels... I had to buy more because mine keep getting stolen by my “friends”.

I have purchase Wusthof knives in recent years & was pleased with the quality of the knives. However, as soon as I removed the 5" Serrated Brunch Knife from the packaging, I knew that this Wusthof knife did not feel nor look like previously purchased ones. The knife is not a comfortable fit in the hand, is extremely light in weight, & has a very 'cheap' appearance. I could have made a comparable purchase at one of the local discount stores for about $3.99. This is why, at times, it is better to buy locally in order that an item may be returned afterthe purchase & opening the package. I would definitely recommend that your money not be wasted on this knife.

This knife is great; hot quality and functionality. My hands are small and my arthritis makes it difficult to use the stance size bread knife which have always felt awkward to me. This knife fits well in my hand and is lightweight which is also a plus. I tend to use smaller loaves of bread so the ease this knife gives me is a blessing.

I own a starter set of Wusthof "Gourmet" series knives and find them fantastic. I wanted to add some new Wusthof knives to my collection without breaking the bank and so I ordered this "Silverpoint" series knife. The quality and craftmanship of the "Silverpoint" knife are clearly inferior compared to the more expensive "Gourmet" series, (and I would surmise other high-end Wusthor series). The "Silverpoint" knife does not feel as balanced nor solid, and the quality of the steel appears much lower. Basically, I feel that I paid for the brand name but did not get the higher quality knife I expected.

Good for small jabs

Eigentlich wäre bei diesem Messer ein Warnhinweis angebracht: Waffenschein erforderlich!Beim ersten Einsatz habe ich mir gleich in den Finger gesäbelt.Aber daran ist nicht das Messer schuld...Es ist wie erwähnt ausgesprochen scharf, liegt gut in der Hand, hat eine ausreichende Länge und ist auch zum Pizzaschneiden gut geeignet.Die Spitze ist allerdings nicht optimal zum Einstechen in Brötchen (Semmel, Wecken etc.), weil rund, aber dann setze ich eben mit der Klinge an.Alles in Allem: Bei entsprechender Vorsicht empfehlenswert.
