Seki Edge Stainless Steel Toenail Clipper

My Dad asked me to get this for him, after he saw the superb quality of my Seki Edge ss-109. This one is much much bigger than mine and the jaw has a big 3.5mm gap, which is plenty big enough for his thick old toe nails. This clipper cuts through his tough nails like a hot knife through butter. It is a weighty, nice feeling tool, with outstanding quality, extremely sharp, cutting edges. They could have added a file like mine has, and a case, but otherwise these are high quality and well crafted tools that should last us a lifetime. I bought this for my mum who wanted to replace her existing nail clipper as it went blunt. She said that this is the best & sharpest nail clipper ever that she has used in her 70 years! Even though its a toenail clipper, it can also be used to cut finger nails saving you having to buy another one. It cuts nails with very little effort and she is impressed. I'm going to order one for myself seeing as she is massively impressed by it.

I find cutting nails, especially toe nails, very difficult due to arthritis in the only hand I have. These clippers make light work of my thickened old man's nails: they are very sharp, meet perfectly so there are no snagged cuts, and the fully open jaws (3.5 mm not 2mm as stated elsewhere, perfectly adequate for all but the very thickest nails one could imagine. (Clippers which suited those sorts of nails would, I suggest, not suit less extreme nails so it's all about personal requirements!) These are like Rolls Royce quality compared to the Reliant Robin nature of most store bought clippers I have used over the years. If you have VERY thick nails, I would suggest that these might not suit and professional standard nail pliers might be necessary, but I am pleased to have what could be a bit of a trial made so straightforward. Very strongly recommended.

Very fine clippers with an uncanny ability to remove very tiny amounts of nail to groom to perfection. Brilliant for fingers on reasonably sized hands and superb on the toes. Easily clips my average thickness nails making short work of the job. Precision made, beautifully finished and well balanced. Built to last. A pleasure and a joy to use. Can’t ask for anything more from a pair of nail clippers apart from perhaps a built in nail file. Best clippers I’ve ever had.

So here they are: Overall Length - 90mm Lever Length - 68m Cutter Width - 12.5mm Cutter Blades Fully Open - 2mm My previous inexpensive chain store clippers had exactly the same main dimensions but were plated steel going slightly rusty between the clipper blades where it doesn't show much anyway. Stylish, well made, looking very strong, sharp and comfortable to use, these Seiki clippers are clearly superior to the chain store clippers. However they are no better at clipping my aged thick big toe nails because the 2mm opening is just too small. I am off to see whether I can find a pair of electrical end cutters that will do the trick. If so will let you know,

It was previously painful to try and cut my arthritic toe nails with scissors. These nail clippers have changed that. They’re super sharp and cut through nails with ease and I no longer have to bend my toes to cut them. Very happy and highly recommend!

I never thought I’d be writing a review about nail clippers, but these are on another level. The Seki Edge clippers feel nothing like the cheap ones I’ve used my whole life. They’re sharp, precise, and make cutting through thick nails almost effortless—it honestly feels like cheating. The build quality is solid, and you can tell they’re made to last. I can’t believe how much of a difference a well-made tool like this makes. Worth every penny.
