Pretty much ever dash cam is subject to picking up glare from the windscreen of the car which can be overcome by manually selecting the exposure compensation if you dashcam lets you access this feature but the easiest way is to buy one of these polarizing filters. It works tremendously well and improves the visibility of the details in footage that you want to capture and this particular filter works with all the cameras listed on this product page and also the Aukey DR02 cameras as its they are manufactured by the same company essentially.

This polariser reduces the flare in my front dash cam. Colours are much better. It also increases the stealth factor of my Viofo a119. Arrived well packed in a little box. It is actually very small, just clicks on the front. When fitted tilting the lens sideways is not possible. Up-down tilting is not affected. I do not notice negative effect on night recordings. There is usually enough light in the front from headlights, anyway.

This is expensive, as larger CPL filters for DSLR cameras cost the same and are much larger and of better build quality. But this fits a specific camera, the Viofo 119, and it works! Look at the two pictures, same day, same camera. The first one without the CPL, yes brighter, but the reflection of the dashboard takes almost 1/3 of the image. Second one with the CPL has almost all glare removed, colours are more dramatic. You need to set exposure to +1 to compensate for the darker image, and that's it. The CPL is an absolute must for all dash cameras, so yes, expensive, but required.

It does what it is supposed to do, but the price is excessive if you consider that it is about 10% of the entire camera!

This cpl filter does what it should do for my Viofo A119s dashcam: it increases color saturation and decreases reflections.

The glass element looks to be of good quality, but the mount doesn't fit my SpyTec A118C bought from Amazon. This camera is said to be a resold Viofo A118C retailed by SpyTec but clearly the lens mount is different. I have retained it with a couple of small pieces of sticky tape to test it, and if I like it I shall endeavour to improve this improvisation. It is described as "adhesive" but there's nothing sticky on it or with it - this phrase should be removed. Performance? Well it does improve the picture - I am no longer treated to a reflected image of my redundant Inforad K2 mounting clip, but the lower third of the image is still lower contrast than the top two thirds and the screen demising vents' reflection is still clearly visible. Comparing before and after clips convinces me sufficiently that it's worthwhile when I bear in mind the purpose of the camera, so I shall not return it.

Ho seguito il consiglio di chi già lo aveva provato e in effetti aumenta la nitidezza delle riprese della A119S. Lo sto usando da un paio di settimane ed è da consigliare.

Dopo aver applicato questa lente non ho notato grosse differenze, il riflesso del parabrezza rimane. Inoltre non si aggancia con sicurezza e capita che cade spesso. Forse non sarà quello originale ? Non ne vale la pena.
