Biona Organic/ Demeter Red Cabbage 350g (Pack of 6)

Tasty and a great way to add veg, purple ones full of goodness with no cooking required just spoon it out. I have already bought again.

I like this heated as a quick and handy vegetable accompaniment. It's not pickled red cabbage which is crunchy and tastes of vinegar, but it's braised red cabbage in a jar. I think it's more of a continental food, like sauerkraut.

Very nice - not quite as good as homemade! A tad too much cinnamon for my taste, but a quick and easy and organic side dish - hot or cold.

This is an item that I constantly keep a supply of in the cupboard. It tastes good and is such a time saver compared to making your own from scratch plus it is organic and therefore contains no "nasties". We like it with salad but you can heat it and eat with roasts.

....expensive at almost £2/jar. Enough in one jar for two people. Better off going to your local Polish shop where you can get a 750g jar for £1. Thank me later. :) That said it's pretty close to German Rotkohl but not quite as tangy.

I am appalled that a company like Biona has added sugar ( in the form of Agave) to a naturally fermented product. The end result is a sickly sweet product t HTC started nothing like a true fermented product. Shame on Biona for appeasing those in society that seem only to eat food that has added sugar. Your brand has sunk in my estimation. I will be so very vigilant if I look to purchase any of your products again.

If you study the contents it's comforting to know you're consuming healthy ingredients ! The one missing factor is the CRUNCH ! ( Was the crunch cooked out of the cabbage before it went in ?) Still i'm readily ploughing through the jars & it's a nice accompaniment to a sandwich type snack !
