Perfect!
Perfect! I did not have to use screws. Exactly what I wanted, I can not believe that it is so cheap. Thank you.

As long as it’s installed correctly it should be fine
This is a good pull up bar once it’s installed correctly, I didn’t put the cups on the door as I didn’t want to damage the door frame so I just installed it without. I weight around 85KG (190Lbs) and after a few failed attempts it settled into place and no longer moves, it can sometimes role towards you depending on your grip which makes it loose but as long as you give it a tighten at the end it’s fine. The ends have two hard rubber caps which help with gripping the doorframe as well as reducing any damage to it. Overall it’s a good bar that works even when it isn’t screwed in as long as you take the time to get the placement right.

Good piece of kit -but
This is fine above my bedroom door. A little fiddly to get the correct fit by screwing the ends in opposite directions. Just make absolutely sure (as I failed to do!) that the bar is screwed in as tightly as you can do it, or - the consequences could be very unpleasant. I didn't use the fixing plates but it seems fine now. Make sure also that you check tightness every time you use it as - depending which side of the door you are on- it can get loose. For the price, this is well made and good value, with comfortable thick grips. Not as good as my German bar as with that you can use variable grips, and it's a little higher and more secure, but that's not so convenient as the door can't be shut when it's up. Recommended.

Home Pull-Up Bar
For the price I was pleasantly surprised at the strength of this bar. It can be erected on the average indoor frame at home. I used the 6 screws and bracket for the extra secure fit. I've hundreds of pull ups already, with no problems. It supports 100 KG or less, something for the heavy weights to consider. Richard

Each time she grabbed the bar it would twist a little
Its a chinup bar - what could go wrong! I've had chinup bars all my life, my son has one in his doorway and now my daughter wanted one because he doesn't like her using his all the time... On the face of it this is exactly what i needed, it has the usual screw in door cups to securely hold the bar in place without any fear of the bar falling. It is very adjustable to fit most doorways, and it even has some nice padded grips. Installation was quick and easy as usual - just pop a few screws in each pressure plate/cup thingy and then screw the bar out until it firmly pushes into each side. The grips were soon removed - too bulky for my daughter. No problem, just cut them off. There is an annoying screw in the middle of the bar... the instructions make no mention of it at all (i.e. it has no purpose to the user), but there it is, sticking out getting in the way if you want to sue the middle of the bar. Not a major issue, but annoying, my other bars don't have this. After a few days I saw my daughter using the other bar again - why? Each time she grabbed the bar it would twist a little. I tightened everything up as much as possible, but it persisted. Annoyed - I decided to take it apart to see what the issue might be, this is where we find out what that screw was for! The bar is actually made of three main sections (my others are just two), a central bar (the one with the screw in) and two narrower bars which glide along a long internal screw. So when you expand this bar you get equal expansion on both sides allowing the central thicker bar to stay centered. A neat idea really. The problem is that the thicker bar is secured onto the threaded internal bar by that screw.... the screw enters into a small cylinder which sits permanently attached to the screw bar (see photo). The poor manufacturing means that the tolerances are really bad and this attachment has a lot of play in it which you cannot stop. (see video). I am about to fill the area with epoxy glue to see if that can fix the bar, unfortunately it will still have the screw in place even if this does work. In summary - if you are only going to use this for simple chin-ups, then it will do the job. If you plan to use any other part of the bar other than where the padded grips are, and like to use any dynamic movement then you might want to choose something else. For me, the build quality can't be ignored, a recessed central screw could have been used and the tolerances shouldn't be so shoddy.

Not for the impatient
It took me nearly 2 hours of on and off messing around to get the bar stable enough to hold my weight - slipped off 4 times and fell completely down once and hurt my back! Finally got stable in the end and the product works just as advertised finally got some pull ups in, I was so tempted to leave a bad review but the product is alright just be cautious and if you have the money to invest in a better pull up bar, please do - but for the cost and simplicity, this product is beyond sufficient

Great for quick reps.
I am a keen runner, but at the same time, understand the importance of maintaining upper body/core strength. I received this chin-up bar yesterday and am very impressed with it. My motivation for purchasing it was not to engage in heavy workouts with it, per say, as I go to the gym for my dedicated resistance training sessions. But to simply install it outside my office so I can simply do a few quick chin-ups/pull-ups as I am passing by and the mood strikes. This is particularly helpful after I am sitting at my desk for a while, encouraging me to move about more. That is not to say that I won't be using it for a quick morning workout when time is scarce. The design of the bar is top-notch, and appears to be manufactured to a very high quality. I particualrly like the colour and finish, which makes it more attractive than the stainless steel bars, in my opinion. Installation was quick and easy, adjusting to the size of my door. All-in-all, it is very strong and sturdy, and can be removed when not in use, should you wish to do so. Mine will most liekely stay where it is. 5/5
