We have 2 cats and a dog and there is ALWAYS some pet smells emanating from any room at any time. I have candles everywhere and we even switch litter to a low odor one but with a small house, 3 humans and 3 animals, I have to really stay on top of odors. I liked the idea that this was small enough and portable so that I could move it to any room that needed a bit of refreshing so I ordered. It comes in a nicely sealed box so no worries of any leakage out into the shipping box as the plastic should hold it in if any. The bottle and reeds are securely packed into the box so no worries on anything moving about and breaking or loosing any of the reeds. There is a stopper that is placed under the screw on top which you need to remove before placing the reeds. It's simple but elegant in an understated way. They say on the box that they put the stopper in tightly so that there is no leaking/spillage. Man oh Man were they NOT lying! That stopper was so tight! They suggest using a tool - like forceps- to get it out. Again, no lies here. You definitely need some good old elbow grease along with some type of instrument as to wedge under the stopper lip to try and gently work it out. I don't have a pair of forceps so I used a large flat head screwdriver. I don't think I've ever seen a stopper on something so tight. So in that area, you can rest assured that unless the glass bottle breaks, you will not loose any of the product! As for scent. I tried it in our bedroom where all the animals tend to gravitate in the evening through morning. Our bedroom is about 15' x 15' so kinda large but when opening, the scent appeared strong enough to do the job. It's a nice light scent not overpowering but it does kind of remind me of some of the perfumes my grandmother used to wear. Not bad but definitely not what I was thinking I would smell. For reference - I got the Sage & Sea Salt and used all 10 reeds. It smelled more powdery and grandmotherly? That's the only way I can think of describing it. After having it in there all day and night yesterday, I could barely smell any of the scent. So I moved it to the smaller bathroom where the litter boxes are. After about an hour of having it in there this morning, I just went in and you can smell it, it's faint but there and the best part? No litter box scent was noticeable! Yay! i'm curious as to how long this will last but for now I am very happy with this and if it lasts for at the 50 days they say, I'll be buying a few more to place around the house. Since using all 10 reeds, I'll be happy if it lasts for 30 days!

Gave it three stars for presentation but this has no scent-the sage and sea salt scent! The worst reed diffuser I have ever purchased. I'll probably keep it when the liquid is done but refill it with a Nest scent or another better brand.

I have purchased this product before in different scents (Pear for example). I really loved them and received quite a few compliments about how nice was the scent. This particular scent (Sage & Sea Salt) is non existent. I have it placed in a very small bedroom and you cannot smell anything.

This sage and sea salt reed diffuser gives off a wonderful scent. The ability to adjust the intensity of the aroma (by using less or more sticks, 8 of which are included) provides an added touch of flexibility. The jar is simple yet elegant, and adds a nice touch of class to the room. As with anything scent-based, aroma strength is subjective; preference and perception will vary by individual. I consider myself to have an average sense of smell, and to me, four sticks was just the right amount to use for a 12' x 12' room; subtly present throughout the room, but not overpowering even when close to the source. Can't wait to try the other scents!

Up close, the sage and sea salt scent is pleasant and noticeable at about arm's length. It also looks aesthetically pleasing. However, if you are using this as the only scent diffuser for what I'm guessing is a standard size living room for an apartment (11'x 12'), it gets much harder to pick up the scent any further than a few feet away. Granted, I'm only using five reeds and they provide a total of 10, 3-5 is considered "moderate" according to the item description. Additionally, when you use these reed type diffusers, it's best to flip them upside down after a while since they can become saturated and swap out reeds regularly. Overall, I would rate the item as decent but short of being "great".

I was looking for a way to make our small guest bathroom smell nice. We have minimal counter space and only one electrical plug in the whole bathroom (!) which is usually taken by the electric toothbrush and water pick! The reed diffuser seemed the solution. I opened the lovely box, unpacked the diffuser and inserted 6 sticks. Stirred it periodically as the manufacturer suggests. However, the scent is minimal, barely noticeable... Sorry to report that this product did not solve our problem!

This product is beautiful and smells heavenly. It makes any room spa like . I love it. Would definitely recommend
