Saved Me From Insanity!
My new apartment balcony door was this heavy door without a mesh screen. My cats would ALWAYS run out to the balcony as soon as I opened the door - which is partially my doing as I am training them to be comfortable with the outdoors so that we can start going on harnessed hikes and walks. My kitten had an interest in walking along the railing and I knew there would be a day where he jumps 4 stories down. Living in San Diego, I desperately desired the breezy, movie nights in a Friday but I could never leave the door open without standing at it the whole time to make sure these little nuggets don’t jump. I decided to bite the bullet and ordered the screen door bc it was the ONLY solution that 1) seemed effective and 2) wasn’t hideous. Sure enough, my cat jumped down 4 stories and my other kitten came to warn me. I was so thankful that my screen door would be arriving within a few days. This was pretty much preassembled but the mesh screen strings at the top kept making the door stuck from opening properly. What I did to fix this was take a serious look at how it was designed and what was going wrong. I then detached the pre-assembled SIDE panels, fix the string configuration and reattached them. This did the trick. The tape they provide is EXTREMELY strong but still didn’t damage the door frame. The mistake I made was that I placed more tape along the sides than what was needed and this made inserting the door more annoying than it should have been. Because the tape is so strong, it immediately sticks to the side panels which makes readjusting challenging. So just keep this in mind. Even if your measurements are off by an inch or so, as long as you positions the screen door to site on the bottom comfortably, the most important measurement is your width. This is bc you NEED the screen door to be securely taped to the sides for proper opening and closing. But the height is not nearly as important. It’s more important if you’re worried about aesthetics (so that no spacing shows). Mine ever so slightly off, but once assembled, you can barely tell. My width was spot on and this allowed the panels to to stick strongly so that even with force from sliding the screen open and close constantly, it doesn’t even budge. The mesh is good quality. In fact, my oldest cat (18 years old) didn’t realize there was a screen and accidentally ran into the first time. Although the mesh screen is black, it it quite transparent and that was something I appreciated so much being that it’s right in my living room. Although the mesh is strong, it is not cat proof. My cat has climbed, bit and does everything he could to use it as a toy. There is some training involved with this, so I purchased deterrent spray and am hoping that will work. Even with his climbing though, the screen door has held up. He has made holes into it which I will patch with clear nail polish, and I’m not sure how much climbing it will take, but that is not the responsibility of the door lol. Anyway, I am now enjoying the beautiful breeze during moving nights and I am SO THANKFUL this thing exists!!!! My last apartment didn’t have front door screen and I wish I knew of this at that time. To have this solution is a huge win.

THESE SCREENS ARE A LIFE GAMECHANGER!
I can not say enough good things about these screens. We live on the river and have 3 cats, have always had indoor cats that can not go outside. We have a lovely breeze, live in Daytona Beach, Florida, and have our windows open 6 months out of the year. Since we are on the river, we don’t get a lot of bugs, but don’t want the cats to get out. We often propped open the doors but had to locate the cats, put them in a closed room, etc. Finally we decided to give these screen doors a try. Both our sliders and our front door are not standard settings, so my son came over and measured per the instructions (which he said were easy to follow). I was very hesitant about putting up ugly screen doors that would show inside our house because our front door opens out and the sliders had to be on the outside, too. And I was worried about the cats getting out under or breaking through, and our son’s dog who comes to visit, also getting out. They arrived quickly, nicely packed, and my son easily installed them. THEY ARE PERFECT! They are barely noticeable from inside the house, they are strong - no animals escape! No bugs get in! The breeze through our house is wonderful! And an added bonus is that they are like an accordion with little creases so although they are see-through, they are noticeable enough that no one would accidentally walk through them. They slide easily and connect magnetically so you don’t have to unlatch them constantly. Everyone loves them, I have had to give the Seller’s info to friends who have purchased because they love ours. The slider screens are great - you can open half going in and out, and this is a great design. If I could give 10 stars, I would do so. We have had them for months, I have waited to write this review to be sure they hold up, and they are as good now as the day they were installed. Thank you for such a wonderful product!

Wonderful!
I live in a small studio apartment and it’s positioned in a way where if I had the door opened, a relaxing wind current flows in and through the apartment. I bought this specific screen door over others because of the reviews: There was a review with a really pretty picture of the screen door at a nice looking apartment balcony, and another review saying that customer service was great. Upon checking other similar items, I ended up going with this brand because of the said reviews. I’m glad I did. The product is fantastic. It’s definitely built for rental properties as it doesn’t require any permanent fixings to be able to use this screen door. The screen is really nice. It looks pleasing to the eye even though it’s not made of tough, durable material (it’s a strong mesh material, but not like made of woven metal or anything, which is totally fine for me! Makes the weight of the door light and portable!). But for a rental unit, this is perfect. It definitely has kept flies and other bugs out of our apartment, so I’m thankful for that. I ended up using the black 3M command strips for the adhesive. This is so that I can remove the adhesives if/whenever I move out, without peeling off any paint. The 3M command strips work like a charm and I definitely recommend that addition to your screen door too. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this product. It is an aesthetic and functional screen door that fits with the dimensions of our unit and is suitable for rental properties. Sometimes I stop to look at the screen door because it just looks so chic and pretty and wonderful. It retracts well and definitely adds an elevated element to our old apartment building. I think it will hold up well. I really do think it’s a wonderful, great product. Yay!

Okay
The screen is great! The install was easy. We followed the instructions to the T. But the door doesn’t close fully so it’s always lightly open. Enough for the tinny bugs to get in.

Highly Recommend - Easy Installation
I highly recommend this screen door. I was hesitant at first, because assembling is not my strong suit. But the assembly and installation went smoothly; I did it by myself. The paper instructions come with a QR code for video instructions and that helped me much more than the paper. Just double check your measurements to make sure it fits, which mine did. Perfect for my lakefront home for those summer breezes to come through!

MEASURE BEFORE YOU BUY
... there is no room for mistakes. We have a 70s house, the door top frame is slightly thicker in the center than at the ends. We didn't account for this, so we had to shave the wood off and repaint it to make the screen fit. Also, account for any edges the frame may have. The frame is about 1.5 inches deep, and you need two people to install it correctly. Once installed, it's fabulous and pretty sturdy

Highly recommend - just measure properly!
Was very nervous & skeptical but this screen door works perfectly. Measurements were spot on and it took 3 minutes to assemble. Very renter-friendly; it sticks to the doorframe with 3M tape they send with it. Construction is a little flimsy but it's very light and easy to handle for installation, and the sliding screen mechanism feels surprisingly solid. Definitely recommend. Pro tip: make sure you measure at the top, middle, and bottom of your doorframe to give the smallest measurement when you order, because my doorframe varies by over an inch and the screen door fits perfectly at the smallest width.
