Also awesome for gun safe mag storage!
These work great in the various bags that allow for velcro attachments, they have fairly stiff elastic so they hold even full mags securely and the velcro holds rock solid. There's also another use I've found for them that I don't see them marketed for and that's for magazine storage inside safes with carpeted walls, they hold really well and it gets all your mags off shelves etc. and out of the way. You can store them in a small tuperware etc. but then you have to dig through to find the mags you want, here you can find what you want and retrieve it right away. If they made a 6 mag version and marketed it as a gun safe mag storage product I think they'd sell a ton of them.

Def would recommend
Great retention! Fits .45 double stacked mags no problem. Velcro holds even on an aggressive mag pull.

Very functional
Good, functional mag holder. I have this in the hydration section of my Maxpedition Kodiak Gearslinger. The hook and loop field attachment keeps it very secure even with 3 fully loaded single stack mags. The only issue I have is that reaching in the bag to pull a mag from the holder is awkward. I sling the bag to the front, and the hydration section is right up against my chest, so unzipping the compartment, and reaching in with my left hand and withdrawing a mag is cumbersome and slow. However, I will continue to carry extra mags in this way. I will carry my primary pistol in an IWB holster on my right hip outside the bag. I will keep a second pistol in the bag but it will by my BUG. The mag holder elastic bands are quite tight, so inserting the mags are difficult when it is in the bag. The mags pull out of the holder easily enough, but you need to position the holder at the right angle so you aren't fumbling around to grasp the mag. I'm sure I'll get faster by training, but be advised that this may not be the most ideal way to carry your extra loaded mags. When wearing the bag, I cannot feel the mags on my back because there is sufficient padding in the bag. The mags are secure even when taking the bag on and off or slinging it around to the front. Aggressive hiking pace with a lot of bending and twisting doesn't dislodge the mags, so I have to say that both the bag and mag holder are well designed. You will have to judge for yourself whether to use this holder or not, but I think that in the long run for me, it does provide a good convenient way to carry your extra mags.

Simple & effective!
Perfect for attaching to a ballistic vest (bulletproof vest) that has Velcro but doesn’t have MOLLE webbing. You can put spare pistol magazines, folding knives, flashlights and walkies in it.

Maxpedition Products will not let you down!!!
Excellent product and price. So so so good and very happy with my purchase. I currently have it set on a portion of hook and loop (Velcro) inside of a 5.11 backpack pocket, completely hidden. It stays where you want as solid as possible. These 3 elastic straps provide all sorts of universal capabilities. Very sturdy. Currently I have a Victorinox One-Handed Trekker along with a 5” long by .5” wide pry bar in the first slot, a S&W M&P spare 8 round magazine in the mide and an A1S Tactical flashlight in the 3rd strap. This is solid construction and I have owned Maxpedition & 5.11 products for years. Both companies create well made, quality gear. Each piece of gear is well thought out and made of some of the best material quality out there. The construction of the product is as tough as nails. Cannot go wrong with the durability Maxpedition produces. Fortuneately, Mine did come with a Maxpedition tag. Some photos seem to be missing the logo tag. Been holding up great so far and I assume it will continue.

Not really conducive for double stacked professionals..single stack pocket pirates might like
I’m sure with the print gazing observation clubs and clandestine concealment committees that are all the rage in the country…. This would be a great piece of kit for a bag or man purse….making for a good conversation starter after a good group guessing challenge of “where is the latest micro mini 3 round Glk concealed” at the pocket pistol printer awareness meeting. Unfortunately, it’s not a product for those who practice a more purposeful approach of preventive victimization…and who utilize the size and capability that is indicative of a full grown man….without any bizarre concerns about what others might perceive in relation to the shape of how his shirt falls…who find themselves often chuckling at the idea of how much dedication one must have, to neurotically stare at his fellow man in that area, intensely spending time analyzing and imagining what lies beneath all because of some unexplained fantastical lore….such mysteries only add to the strangeness of the journey and offer perspective…. Because there’s nothing fantastical or imaginative about the overwhelming advantage that 21+ rounds from a full size 3+ pound cemented cannon that doesn’t leave palms or fingers out in the cold….and although it doesn’t fit into the latest skinny jeans coin pocket…it does fit into a stable purchase in an almost magical way….giving you the opportunity to make the most out watching the struggle ensue from those who choose the path of purposeful disadvantage….before sending your entire magazine in less time than your opponent spent in the mirror primping for the ridiculous print.
