Unless you've had it under really bright lights right before being in the dark, the glow is not pronounced. I didn't want really bright to begin with. But I wanted to be able to easily locate my controller on the couch while the room lights are off.

I bought this for hurricane seasonPower outages occur at weird times usually when i'm taking a shower.These things are perfect.They charge up nicely, they have good grip.They stick very well and they glow long enough for you to get out of the shower without breaking your neck. Make sure you clean the surface thoroughly before applying.And it has to be absolutely dry.Otherwise, the glue will not grab the surface.
